@USAPropaganda I got HoI yesterday after playing superpower. I was like "what" not getting a thing. The game is the most confusing thing ever but if you can grasp it i think it would be great.

Anyone into the HOI games should check out Arsenal of Democracy. It's an awesome mod that updates HOI2 and lets you bypass the silliness in HOI3 (sry johann)

What I hate about this game is how EVERY SINGLE NATION is stupid enough to join the Allies (when I'm Germany) and just begging for an invasion. I think I occupied Asia without even wanting some countries, but they declared war on me, so why the heck not...

Is this game stable yet? Cause I been playing HOI 2 for like 5 years now. Lol not complaining or anything, HOI 2 is an awesome game. I heard that this one was almost unplayable at launch a few months ago, so how is it running these days?

Did I mention that Intelligence, Politics and Diplomacy aren't as fun in HOI3 as in HOI2 either. Holy monkies dude, this isn't "realism" its just getting buried in databases! More provinces? cool. Customizable units? cool All this other "realism" makes the new game simply NOT FUN.

I feel bad 'cause you probably know all this and have too much invested to back out now.

@CIRELUX I'm sure you can get it through Steam. Steam itself is free. HOI2 was a really great game, but it needed a facelift. Unfortunately HOI3 was more than that and failed to enhance the HOI2 game. I highly recommend HOI2 if you're just looking to be absorbed in a history game.

I stopped fighting with HOI3. It just isn't "fun". Much prettier than HOI2 but gameplay is horrible.

Really disappointed in HOI3. Thought it would be an upgrade. It went hard into detail and lost all true playability. HOI2 was a much better game.

New graphics are awesome. But tech is stupid, HQ hierarchies are unnecessary, province "front" concept is myopic, and aircraft orders are NOT HELPFUL. Too bad. Thought it would be the best game of all time. HOI2 upgrade would be nice.

I've played both, and with supreme commander, its usually just build as many units as possible, there is no diplomacy, there is no real research, just increasing factory levels, total annihilation had stealth units, but supreme commander does not have those. Strategy is usually just using overwhelming numbers of units to take over a point. Nothing more than a meat grinder

supreme commander? hahah, that game gets so fucking boring within 1-2 weeks.

I can play Hearts of iorn for a year without getting bored, because it is diffrent every time.

Supreme commander is the same old gameplay and you know everything that is going to happen and can usually always predict the enemy.

@DarkHour404 You need to get forged alliance and play on-line, fresh every-time trust me on this. I have had some unbelievably good games on it. Up there with some awesome HOI 1 20hr 1936 scenario games I used to play years ago...

I love Supreme Commander, dont get me wrong.

But this game has much more control than supreme commander. And is way more in depth than SupCom is. Because you can control almost everything.

If you are saying that SupCom is more in depth based on graphics, then you completely misunderstood the video, and you need to go back to fucking school.

Yeah I can not wait to play it either. Yet the reduction is time period pisses me off. I think the Armageddon version with the period ending at 1964 was the best. It gave you much more time to turn a nobody country into a somebody.
