there two different scoreboards. One for celebrities which is reset (along with the reasonably priced car) every new season of the show, and one for F1 drivers is hasnt been reset so far because you cant get everyone to have a go at the same year.

So while the newer celebrities will be using newer cars, the f1 drivers have to use the same car that the first f1 driver used.

@fidan2fast that's exactly what I think as well. I'm not so sure he's as fast as the other top drivers. But then again, I thought the same about Button before he joined Mclaren and he's proved he can keep up with Hamilton (even though he's having a crappy year). But anyways, I can't give Vettel the credit that comes along with being Champion as long as he keeps having a dominant car. Don't misunderstand, I think he's good, otherwise Webber would beat him, but I just don't know how good...

@tiansivive I'm tired of people who give most of the credit for Vettel's success to the car. Remember, STR had barely scored any points before Vettel joined the team and gave them their first ever win, Then when he moved to Red Bull he gave them their first win in only his third race with the team, after over four years with other drivers without even a podium. Vettel's development work is a key reason that the car is so fast. Webber didn't start winning until Vettel joined the team.

@gotham61 Look, Vettel's win at Monza in a STR required skill, yes, but it was a chaotic race, where crashes, misfortunes etc left Vettel in the lead with the favourites miles back. The rest of the year, Vettel did nothing special. He then got lucky he moved to RB at that point (for the 2009 season), because Newey joined them as well and since the regulations changed so much RB and Brawn emerged as top teams with Ferrari and Mclaren at the back. After that RB managed to stay on top...

You say "The rest of the year, Vettel did nothing special", when actually he scored 12 more points in the remaining 4 races. More than all other STR drivers combined in the prior history of the team.
