The american version is missing some items, like the ones shown that cast Wall and Slow. Rosa would have to be casting all those Walls by herself.

1, the player is Japanese.

2. The Japanese version is really MUCH harder.

There were two versions of FFIV released: Easy and Hard type. FFII on the SNES was FFIV hard type. FFIV in Final Fantasy Chronicles is FFIV hard type.

Being Japanese doesn't mean shit on a genetic level. I won't deny that there isn't a game culture difference though.
