  • its long. thats what she said...

  • onychophora is an arthropod... -.-

  • @Jobroose no it's not. It is it's own phylum.

  • Spiderworm, spiderworm! Does whatever a spiderworm does!

  • Ahahaha, spiderman-worm^^

  • i thought there were like a kind of centipede.

  • part insect part worm!!! yaaay

  • I think that this is perhaps the most accurate definition here of an onychophoran. They are in their own phylum, but they are believed to be the most closely related to both annelids (phylum Annelida) and arthropods (phylum Arthropoda).

  • biology fail -.-

  • onycophorans are not worms. They are in a completely different phylum.

  • The group "worms" encompasses a large group that do not share a common ancestor, although velvet worms are more closely related to insects than to "earthworms", they are fairly closely related to Nematodes (roundworms). But they are in their own phylum, Onychophora.

  • Jus to make your point clearer Onychophora are most closely related to Arthropoda (incects etc) then Annelidia(earth worms etc) and are more distantly related to Nematoda. infact humans are more closely relateded to Arthropoda and onychophora than either of them are to nematoda.
