  • indeed very helpful :) now i understand why the fruits i eat are not good after a meal:D thx

  • I would love to try this diet, but I am trying to build muscles and everytime I read about post workout meals, they always mention carbs and protein together. I would usually have a drink with high quality whey isolate protein and a banana (for the simple sugar). Now that's apparently a bad combo. I don't want to hinder my workout results so I think I will make this sacrifice and carry on having my usual post workout drink. Great video girl! Thanks <3

  • She is so cute that i takes the breath away

  • I thought you could never combine anything with fruit?

  • Good video, however the stomach does not layer food.

  • i try to eat raw foods......i am always hungry....5 days a week i drink vegy and fruit juces(i have a healthy juicer)and at the end of the week i eat met based meals(2 meals)anyway......what i was trying to say...u are tooooo cute!!!!kiss kiss!!!!

  • Thank you for caring enough to put these videos out. You are not out there trying to make money, but your whole focus is helping your neighbor. Thank you.

  • thank you for this.

  • thank you for this.

  • i eat a primarily vegetarian diet and was experiencing discomfort whenever i ate my heavier foods first and then fruit for dessert, which surprised me because i'm not eating meat and i'm light on the dairy. i saw this video about 2 weeks ago (i know it's older, but i only recently discovered "raw radiant health") and i've been following the advice in it since. i am so happy with how much better and lighter i now feel after eating a meal! thank you for the information!

  • My favorite meal recently for one that is meat based is grinding up chicken with spinach, spices (garlic, onion powder, chili powder, cumin), ACV, and tamari. Then after cooking I mix in fresh salsa and a little hummus and mix it up. Then, I put it on top of cut up nori. I hate salads so this is a way of getting in greens and getting fiber in with meat. It is so good!

  • @mrrrbt How are you doing with your weight training? I've gone raw for health reasons but I hate the weight loss.

  • Aigh. So much to learn! I realize this is an older vid but I'm starting there and working toward the newer ones. This vid made me SO paranoid! I just ate a tomatoe and spinach leaf sandwich on 100% whole wheat bread. If the goal is to eat in "layers," what do thins like wraps, sandwiches, etc do to you? Are they bad?

  • Is starch and fat good combination? And is fat and protein good combination? :p

  • @livingawesome I think protein and fat are from what I have read. However, I am also wondering about starch and fat. I've stayed away from this combo but would be interested in knowing.

  • you look really pretty

  • Never thought about food combinations before so this looks excellent. However, I am in training in the gym and on the bike and I currently eat 4-5 meals a day. I do mix proteins and carbs at the moment but i'll try separating them now. However when you say separate meals how long (approx) do you give between meals to be separate?

  • your right this is complicated. but your vid's really informative. i've been meaning to find out about food combining for awhile so thanx for uploading.

  • The simplest way to understand why carbs and proteins dont mix is that protein requres an acid base digestive juice and carbs need an alkaline base, if you paid attension in chemistry then you know that when an acid comes into contact with a base(alkaline) they neutralize each other so very little digestion is done.

  • Thanks so much, love learning about food and you do make things very simple to understand :)

  • Aynone know if like pasta and tomato is a good or bad combination.

  • @vad7771 Raw tomato is fine, when cooked it becomes acidic. People get confused on food combining when it comes to acidic fruit. Even the most acidic fruit such as a lemon or lime is alkaline in the body, Cooking changes this. thats jsut one of the reasons people experiance better results with raw foods.

  • This is an area I have put a lot of time and research into. I wanted to compliment you on how well you touched on this topic. You touched every literal key point and added a few extra really good ones in. Great job Natasha. I especially love your input on stomach layering - SO TRUE! Things will ferment in there! Meat and dairy = the worst, on top of animal abuse. Food combo charts help. The more simple the better - that is why awhile back I stopped all complicated and gourmet raw and went SIMPLE.

  • but i just also experienced that dont eat just fruits or veggies in the morning without having something to fill the stomach because now it became active and hurts , meaning i still are hungry so i will go fix my some eggs and see how that works :)

you might want to balance your meals i guess they are all small helpers that do their different jobs. :D

  • @TheRogueMonk If your still hungry then eat more fruits. save vegetables for after 12. Eggs are not going to satisfy anything but you taste buds. If your used to eating meat and dairy, then you dont feel right when eating light. Everything you just said is devoid of common sence. You dont need eggs to fill you up, as i havent eaten dairy or meat for 5 years.

  • WHAT DO YOU recommend eating with meat or before meat if you want.

still help me with my first question though.

  • i eat vegies when ihae them with meat like one layer green one layer meat i already did this instingtively.

and i believe fruit and things help open the way and activate yuour sotmach in before hand m right.

  • i am not exadurating , i am seroius everytime lately i eat its as if the food wants to come back up

i workout and i am active i eat protein diet 4 times a day , i hope i am chewing enough.

i eat whole grain bred and meat mostly ..

my stomach is bloated and now on top of it all its as if everything wants to come back out of my mouth and transform into teh food hey were

    please HELP? :(

  • Eat less meat-- youre too acidic and thats why your havig acid reflux. Dont mix meat & bread. Eat A lot of vegetables and green salads-- you need to alkalize. No dairy products

  • actually i mixed your knowledge with someone elses and it has pYED off GIRL

I now eat a little green dark green veggies (not even much)

some salad liefs unprepared and raw . sometimes after or before my protein rich meal i take just 1 bite of small piece of banana (it has enzymes) and/or cucumber piece!

I am happy to say eating live food like these prepare my stomach for the meat!

also i took your advice to eat the slow digesting foods last , so i eat the meat first and the bred after .

  • it has worked GRAIT incomparrison to before! live food makes your stomach workout and i am starting to believe your stomach worksout just like other places .

I have a good colour method

    1. green live food

    3. processed green live food (cooked)

4, less live food (like meat icant think of any other things)

    3. rise , bred or other things (actually these are good too but to some of their nature they can be dry and heavy .. so one might try to eat moderate portions of them, only one slice bredpr meal

  • This works great! i have had 2-3 bowl movmeent easly and nautrally doing this

trying to remmember it like this

    1.greens/yellow/reds lively colours.

    3. brown (symbolising meat)

    4. white grain( symbolising carbs)

    5. greens again only this time fruits

as desert or booster. can have this before the meals as well.

so i can confirm the fact that eating in good order does have a if not major affect , i cant believe i am bbetter at all ;:D thanks.

  • dont mix the protein & carbs-- keep them at seperate meals. Eat them with greens and vegetables instead

  • you need carbs with your food , i have no problem doing it, also i eat wholegrain wich itself should have good fibers.

I am afraid to not eat the carb with the meat since i want everything to export to the body as best as possible.

  • and you cant have your body work without hte fuel carbs and sugars give you.

  • @TheRogueMonk Carbs are sugars, lmao. The only fuel the body can use is glucose, all sugars must be broken down to this. That refined white sugar you put in your cofee cannot be broken down to glucose, thats why its not good for you.

  • @TheRogueMonk Meat is not "less live food" its the remains of a dead animal carcass. Once the animal is dead, the meat is dead to. Vegetables take time to die when harvested, when they begin to wilt then there dying. And do you really think cooking a steak will not kill that food? even if meat was alive raw its dead after cooking it, just like vegetables are dead after cooking.

  • the slowest digesting food is the meat or cheese-- eat those last in the meal and don't mix with bread (carb)

  • Even when preparing a healthy meal I always use fruit as dessert....ya dessert first from now on.................

  • Ya, much better that way!

  • oh my gosh. I needed to know this. me and the husband always have rice with our fish, or potato or pasta with our chicken. and I definitely suffer digestive problelms. great to know. thank you.

  • I am happy this helps you!!! Try having salads and vegetables (steamed veggies, stir fries etc..) with your meats and fish and keep them separate fom the starches. If yu have starch based meal (rice, potatoes, etc..) have it with vegetables as well. Beware of cheeses with bread too (cheese is a fat, bread is a starch!)

  • @RawRadiantHealth Cheese is a protein, not fat.

  • @TheDeviantGamer 70% of the calories in cheese come from fat.

  • eating slow digestive foods first might also lead to high blood sugar if you eat fruit bc the fruit can't pass through quick enough.

  • Totally agree!!! :)

  • Great timing for this talk. I have been wondering what the deal was with food combining. I did learn (the hard way) that nuts with sweets tear up my stomach and made me research more.

  • There is nothing like your own experience to kno what works and what doesn't-- even if it feel like the hard way, it will stick!!! :)

  • thank you natasha i finally get food combining ^_^

  • Yay!! :)

  • Hey, nice vid.

I`ve got one question: How to eat hulled hemp seed? They seem so hard eaten with the shell/hull.

    thank you.

  • Hulled hemp seed is hemp seed without the shell. Now hemp seed with the shell, the only way to eat it is to soak them in water for a few hours and then rinse & strain and sprout them afterwards. Then you can blend them up and make something out of them!

  • What about the hard shell, can I eat it after blending it?

    Thanks

  • Your better off eating shelled/hulled hemp seeds-- using that for dips, salad dressing, etc.. The hemp seeds that are not shelled are probably better for a hemp milk where you blend the seeds with water and then drain with a nut milk bag.

  • @RawRadiantHealth I never knew that I could or should soak shelled hemp seeds. I always buy shelled hemp seeds from Whole Foods and used them straight out of the bag by sprinkling some into my green smoothies. IS this okay?

  • Well done!

  • Thanks You! :)

  • Good topic! My stomach can't handle buffet and that is probably why.

  • Buffet can be hard core!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for addressing this subject. I understand the importance of food combining if you are eat cooked food. Is it as important if you only eat raw food? Is it okay to eat nuts or fat with fruit, for example?

  • If you eat fruit and fat together and feel fine, then no problem!! But if you have bloating, stomach upset, indigestion etc.. or even skin issues, eat the fruit and fats at separate time for a couple weeks and see how you feel after-- if you feel better then you know its from the combination.
