I have a GB10 and love it, but still I get feedback (noise) coming out of it, even at some quite low volumes. It is a pity, but it has a beautiful sound. ALL hollowbodies jazz guitars give feedback.

This guitar suits GB's style and stage work, but it is not the ultimate "jazz guitar". It is laminated and stiff. Great for fighting the drummer, but not the most open, clear, resonant tone that hand-carved jazz boxes produce. It's a compromise, as George discusses.

I remember back in high school in the 70's.. there were local bands in the island of Samoa were playing breezing day and night..lol.. they com beat who can play breezing note by note... but they did OK and not as close..lol.. anyways.. I love the sound of GB10.. It"sound so warm and beautiful.. I'm been saving to purchase a Ibanez GB10..

All the GB models are made in japan. There was a cheap gb made in korea, called the gb10 js but it's no longer made and even when it was the true gb10 was still made in japan...THINK ..THINK..

While I do like GB and have, since 'Breezin', I wanted to hear more about the tech aspects of the guitar. How do the size and shape of the guitar help fight feedback, what materials is the model George is holding made (neck, body, inlays)? Mr Benson obviously likes his name sake model but I would've appreciated a more detailed explanation, from him, of what makes it a worthy instrument besides it's stunning good looks.

I had the priveledge of playing one of these gorgeous instruments. One of only 30 of them made. It was something special. Most eye-catching guitar I've ever laid hands on. If I had a spare AU$13,000 I would have thought about thinking about buying it :-p

George is an amazing player. And I love Ibanez! They seem to really care about the player, weather he be a seasoned, mature jazz genius or a metal head who wants a guitar with 8 strings instead of 7. They are very progressive and that's why I'll always play ibanez!

I'm a luthier, I know about building guitars so it's cool to hear from the artist himself about the genesis of his signature instrument.

Having said that, It's kinda ironic that footage of the 1986 Montreux concert was used showing George using a stock Ibanez Artstar FG100 rather than the GB10 model.
