I am not Russian and I want to say how surprised I am to see all the haters. They guy's got talent! Be happy that Russia has singers like him.
You may not like him, but if you think you can sing better, go for it. It's like the soccre fans... they can't play, but they always know better what could'a, should'a, etc.
@dthuma you should really read into this guy's past...there's a reason why so many people dislike him. he has an ego five times his size, acts incredibly pretentious, and insults and hits reporters. honestly...he used to be kinda good but now he's just a failure and its sad. he doesn't deserve his fans for the way he acts.
@russiasprincess He has ego... I agree. But he has every reason to have it, he is a star. He insults reporters... why they don't leave him alone? If he needs privacy, give it to him. But no, everyone is after him, looking for the next 'big' story.( Never heard about hitting a reporter and if he did, not excusable.)
Doesn't deserve his fans? It's their choice. Leave it to them to decide... He's done a lot to promote the Russian pop music and make it known around the world.

MrsAlexandra1972, I don't think anybody doubts his talent, however, he has very little originality to show to date. He's been covering Pugacheva's songs as well as other world-famous artists and hasn't been doing a good job at it, IMHO. As far as this particular song is concerned, look up Pugacheva's 60th b-day concert and you'll see that she and Leontiev did a much better job at their own remake :)
Philipp is so genuine and unique!!! Why some people are trying so hard to trash him and overshadow his talent , is beyond belief! I tend to think that sometimes is easier to hate and be biased against sth than trying to understand and accept it.
