  • dont think these other awesome gits of sound and movement , killed any of this great music ! i loved it then and loving it now .........

  • !! YEA !!! Naked Eyes so special, this is really fantastic, travelsme to another world.....

  • Naked eyes was amazingly consistent with the quality of their songs. Every single tune had top notch production and cleverly crafted, catchy lyrics and hooks. These guys deserve some sort of life time achievement award!

  • @FeelGood30

Agreed! Top-notch production, with melodic hooks and good songwriting, with talented musicians. Wow, the complete package, how novel?

  • Love the album where this song came from. Is it available on CD? My copy was on vinyl. Great songs!!!

  • So good to hear this again after many years, super band.

  • super band!!!! I love them

  • Whats up with all the race talk folks.....this is good music....just chill out....

  • Nice comments everyone, this was one of Rob and my favourite tracks, Come to a Naked Eyes show I still play it live. Pete Byrne.

    eyesmusic

  • @eyesmusic would love too.. where and when...

  • @eyesmusic

Hey Pete!! I love your music, man. You guys were absolutely one of the most talented acts of the 80's!! Absolutely wonderfully melodic music.

I's love to see you play sometime, but I live so far back into the sticks that they pump sunlight in here. It's doubtful that you'd be playing anywhere close to me.

I just got your greatest hits from amazon.com. Great synth driven music from a bygone era of real talent.

    Thank you!

  • this song is so sexy it hurts.....I can easily imagine it being on the soundtrack to 'Risky Business'........just a beautiful song......thanks!

  • These guys are so underrated it's nothing funny.

  • 82~

    "I could show you how"

"I wish I could break this chain of reaction turn my feelings into action"

"If I only had you here now!"

    ~N8

  • @n8tureboy ~ N8, I'm here now ~ "The Time is Now" ~82

  • I just downloaded this mp3 at audiogetnow..com

  • Such a great song, and such an underrated band. One of the few synth bands I really got into, because they had the songs to back it up. They had such a knack for creating that mood of melancholy - great stuff.

  • This is one of the European melody driven synthesizer acts that got killed by Micheal Jackson, Prince, Tina Turner and the other American R&B rubbish. After 1982 very little good music got to the charts. Naked Eyes came 1983... Would have been massive, but instead, after "Thriller", all the oligopoly Big Five record compnies made sure almost only Soul, R&B (and rock for the white trash) got air play on Radio and MTV.

  • @stefancev okay, I don't mind people speaking their minds on my posts but when you come in and trash LEGENDS like Prince Michael and TINA who shaped more than Naked Eyes ever were gonna shape, I have to pull the plug on your membership!!! sorry..........

  • @PAYBACKiszaB2 HAHAHAHAHA I AGREE!!!! NO ONE should ever diss legends like Prince, Michael & Tina who opened the doors for not only people of color, but whites as well!!!

  • that was n't R7 b rubbish . it's just your opinion. i love naked eyes and others but r& b has never paled in comparison. It is quite ignorant to speak like an idiot. music is not a contest. enjoy all great music for what it is . and don't hate those three are legends .Tina was a legend long before her re-emergence as a n r& b star. and Prince and Michael will forever be musical legends even if you refuse to acknowledge their vastly superior contributions. you sound like kanye west pal.

  • @stefancev In America maybe, the British charts were still good for a few more years.

  • @stefancev

my friend, good music never died. Take an example, the depeche mode, low label, and by the good work they have reach the top. ABC is the opposite, made a perfect work in the beginning and then nothing more

  • @stefancev 21 people are shallow bigots. Strange you left out Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Eurythmics, Cyndy Lauper, etc.

1= MJ, Prince & Tina came out in in the 60's & 70's years before Naked Eyes.

2= This sound was pioneers by soul groups like Shalamar, Kleeer, Loose Ends, The Deele, etc in the late 70's

3= MTV was a segregated station that was forced to integrate.

4= NE blew up of the soul cover "Always Something..."

RESPECT TO PAYBACKiz2, N.E. AND ALL GOOD MUSIC!

  • @stefancev

This is ridiculous. Prince? Michael Jackson? Tina Turner? You have no idea what you're talking about. Further, if you had any musical sense you'd understand the overwhelming American roots of all pop music all over the world, including and in particular, Naked Eyes. I love Naked Eyes absolutely, but to compare this album to Thriller? You're a fool as are your conspiracy theories.

  • @Rockhorns76 Okay that is so rude.

We all have the right to like what we want and if we like something you don't than it does not mean that we have no musical sense.I hate rap music but,I don't judge people that like rap or say that they have no musical sense.

So you can go around and be prejudice or you can put your foot steps in other peoples' shoes and try to understand them.Even if you don't like them than it still doesn't give you the right to bad mouth someones interest.

  • @stefancev i almost agree with this guy, although i respect all those he "trashed"... if you're into '80s music you'll know that there were alot of bands even better than commercial ones like this one, so, yes this stefancev guy is almost right!

  • @stefancev f u black trash

  • Rob fisher was a very underated keyboardist sadly we lost him forever to bowel cancer surgery of which he never recovered , He will be missed greatly as for me in a time of war his music helped set a pace for me to make it home safely to hear more from this duo .My all time favorite duo. R.I.P. Rob Fisher.

  • Naked Eyes at their very best. Perfect synth and drums blended together. The best song they ever made.

  • Im looking to find a vocalist/songwriter to front an electronic pop project ( naked eyes is an influence) - if anyone is interested let me know.

    this is a great song.

  • Now I heard they started some new Theme park for a group named ABBA no offense to them but i never really liked ABBA, but NAKED EYES!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM and wish they had come up with a THEME PARK for their Honor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There wasn't hardly a bad song on this cassette!! It was a babe magnet!!

  • Probably the better NE's track. Phil Towner on e-drums is simply precise as a drum machine. I really love this song...

  • He died after surgery it turned out to be Bowel Cancer. I have never heard of that before. It is sad all the same he was very Talented.

  • you got me sad now........I did not how died after his surgery! I wish I had met him and learned Keyboards from him!!! miss him.

  • Anal cancer...same thing Farrah Fawcett died from.

  • It's so sad that Pete Byrne and Rob Fisher will never get the chance to perform together again. Since Rob Fisher Passed away in 1999 at the age of 39 of cancer. RIP Rob Gone But Not Forgotten.

  • Did he smoke a great deal? what type cancer, I know its a horrible subject to talk about but I am just curious to what type he had..........

  • I'm loving this jam!

  • One of my favorites.

  • I used to bang so many chics to these guys, they worked for me every time!

  • ΠΟΥ ΤΟ ΞΕΘΑΨΕΣ ΑΥΤΟ ΡΕ ΜΕΓΑΛΕ?

  • Wish they'd played this on saturday too! :-)

  • Anyone here a musician and want to start a band like Naked Eyes, I am serious!!!!!!!!???

  • I!!!! but then comes back, ok? I love progressive rock but now I have no time

  • I'm up for it Payback - where are you? i'm in the UK but we could email each other backing tracks. I worshipped this band when this album came out, so i've already tried copying this stuff but Rob was a genius and you won't ever beat Tony's Production, you do know that don't you? This album was recorded at Abbey Rd in 1982/3

  • Hey there PAYBACKiszaB2...I think that's a great idea...you could make it work you certainly have a passion for it:) Btw we've commented back n' forth to one another before...my name was trammar before. Well I don't play any instruments, but I could sing...Lol!!!!

  • If you're in the Los Angeles area, I'm a Bassist :). Huge fan of Naked Eyes, have just about everything they put out. I also like Go West, Nik Kershaw, and Level 42.

  • definitely the best music from the 80s is from Naked Eyes

  • Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Loooove this song from Naked Eyes RIP Rob Fisher

  • This song is amazing! The best songs were from the 80's IMO.

  • Absolutely YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I absolutely agree

  • Yeah, and Linn LM-1 sounds of 1983 are amazing, compare these with 1993, for example, with all these terrible bass techno beats. Linn DM was unbelievable.

  • Yes Rob was an amazing keyboardist...sad he isn't with us anymore:(

  • Just when I think I've heard all of their songs...another one pops up...thanks for this:)

  • I can't get over their amazing synthesizer work, i wish I could have played in their band!!!!

  • Awesome, Awesome job......well done
