  • How the hell do you tense your shoulders? I've been at the gym now for about 8 months and I simply cannot tense them.

  • "back and shoulder in one movement?" people already do that. it's called Barbell Rows. Or Pull-ups or any other back exercise . You Can't train your back without training your shoulders too.

  • Hello, instead of using the dumbbells is it just as effective to mount the bands lower down (I mount mine on the leg of my bed) so you have to keep your arms in the raised position against the band pulling down. Thanks

  • hey does this exercises effect our running skills in any way

  • barely works the back. that movement is more posteriur shoulder. Thats the reason why -when doing dumbell rows- you should always pull it up against your hip. that works the lats.

  • I like the bands alot but i dont have his. Ive always had some. There extremely good. What he talks about is on point. Check into your local community college. They should have a certificate class for weight lifting and nutrition. Thats a very good start they will teach you everything you need to know and answer all your questions.

  • @ikillu80 Not even remotely similar.Press up is a push motion, this is a pull, so completely reversed, and on a press up the front delt is not under tension in a horizontal plane..

  • @loum111 i think the bands provide more resistance than standard dumbells... as in they pull back the entire time so they put more stress on the muscles. (Dont quote me though, im just guessing, im a beginner :P)

  • @the713king none ur 15 ur still growing u dont want to stunt your growth

  • @the713king Working out with weights can stunt your growth, but if you work with your own bodyweight with some of the excersizes he shows you should be fine. I'm 15 too, almost 16, and I've been told that if you're using your own bodyweight (and doing the workout properly) then you can't go wrong in the excersize, and in fact you could probably help your growth. If you're looking to broaden your shoulders try any push up-related excersizes this guy has on his channel.

  • @kickboxer94 Broad shoulders? Dumbell press! With good form and no bouncing. You can really hurt yourself without good form. You will see your shoulders grow rapidly, most likely.

    You're amazing! I tried this ideas and I love the feel. I wonder though how can I use these ideas and target the posterior shoulders. As you know, most chest exercises have an effect on the front head of the shoulders and the moves you show do address front and sides but not posterior.

  • Hey Jeff i noticed it once again when i saw this video. You do lots of exercises with the resistance band but there isn´t a video with resistance band onlay. It would be realy cool if you could make a video just with resitance band (maby just for upper body) i would find such a video really cool.

  • Guys the AthleanX system really does put on lean muscle. I'm an amatuer boxer so i don't really do every single workout in the system. I pick the workouts that incorporate more than one muscle. After only 2 weeks i've noticed that i'm looking more muscular. Imagine 3 months!!

  • resistance bands are practical but what about increasing the resistance continually with resistance bands? in my opinion real weights are superior cause with them you can increase with tiny steps. when you use resistance bands the steps are much bigger and you cannot increase forever.

  • Hey Bartczernicki....you're partially correct, but using the principle of what I called Muscle Fire Fusion, you're getting the end result to be much greater than the sum of the individual parts (or exercises in this case) by getting muscle groups that work in conjunction with each other to maximize the benefit of what each muscle could do on their own!     Disclosure: I bought the AthleanX program...down 33 pounds already since June 2010 :) Guys, this stuff works (I don't do all of it, but pick the stuff that works for me)

    Isn't this the same though as doing one muscle group and then doing another exercise group? For example, AthleanX shows u not to stand around between sets. So what I do is pull ups between my chest, bi or shoulder sets. Does this just combine that?

  • @ahdarshram You'd need the bands for the resistance against the back. Without them you won't really be working the back efficiently, or really at all for that matter.
