  • was this a reinactment of Ilipa or just using Scipio's model from that battle?

The depiction of the roman array is spot on, however Hasrubal had about 30 war Elephants in his center, who caused havoc in the Carthaginian centre because of the confusion caused by the Scipio cavalry double envelopment

    Very nice graphics, though.

  • It's just using Scipio's army formation. It would have been rather difficult to find an opponent who used the same army as Hasdrubal.

  • Oh I see. I am not familiar with the game. But still very well done and accurate.

  • if this was scipios's formation there would be iberian allies/auxilia at the center the legions flanking the iberians velites flanking the legions and cavalry flanking the velites

  • can you get legionares to use pilum in hand to hand combat?

  • I'm quite sure you can't.

  • ok it must have been a glitch

  • It may be possible only use when desperate you will take rather heavy casualties.

  • how do i do it then?

  • right click the enemy.

  • to use pila in hand to hand combat (pila are javelins)

  • sorry i thought you meant throw them in combat...

  • nice to see more like the Prince. +1 sub

  • Nice one.

  • Interesting commentary. Looking forward to more.

  • that was an intresting battle, most of my formations have no core but are more flexable and can easly reform after returning from routing.

  • It's indeed interesting to see such nice tactical maneuvers, dude ~
