  • I remember it always being Mary didn't want kids and he did. Seems like the song was written because he wishes he had a kid....

  • @albertjruiz bullshit

  • only Robert Smith will ever know the TRUE meaning of this song!

  • the cure is one of the best that ever exists and robert is a damn genius

  • Esta rola es la neta del planeta!! The Cure rocks!

  • can sombody please tell me what this song is about!?

    =]

  • I'm guessing about having a son.

  • oh thats cool!

  • i think he has no kids or was going to but something went wrong maby its not about robert could be a mate of his.

  • he dosent have kids he never wanted kids in eveey interview u see when people ask him if he wants to have kids he allways says NO no i could never bring a child to this world

  • its about a girl who loves a guy who isent real so its the guy she has allways dreamed of but never got if u look up the lyrics u will no what i mean :D

but it is so amazing i hope they releas this song

  • You're wrong... The song, in fact, is about the child that Robert Smith never had because he didn't think he was a good role model. And with this song he expresses his regret for not having a kid..

    That's a fact :)

  • well thats not what he said it was about

and he has never wonted kids

and there is nothing wrong with that

  • I wish this was on 4:13 DREAM...

  • Yep mee too, really cool song !!

  • Well, they are releasing the darker other half of the album soon so it should be on there hopefully (:

  • Damn! I want this song on mp3 format!!

  • I'm just waiting for the next album, the dark one...cause they don't release this great song on 4:13 Dream

  • Whens that coming out then ??

  • Someone says in April... for Robert's birthday.

  • almost as good as dave brewin

  • WHAT???

  • sounds like 'the last day of summer' from the bloodflowers album!

  • I noticed that too! It's got the same vibe

  • To have his arms around me, to sense his perfect trust I'd give all I ever had...all I ever had... I'd love to see him dream, I'd love to watch him sleep To have his arms around me, ? Held his arms in mine, sense his perfect trust I'd give all I ever had for a moment of his love He's my heart and my soul He's my blood and my bones He's my prayers and my hope My wishes and dreams Seems so long ago, so long ago...
  • I can't wait till their new album. It drops august, with a 2 cd set for the same price as the 1 cd. The I st cd is orignal recordings then the next is mixes. pLEASE ChecK OuT Mi FUnNIe VIdeOS.

  • Because Porl is airless! Because MaEvans doesnt works!

  • incredible song! i've heard this one in katowice, few days ago. btw - amazing concert!

  • I second that :D

  • that sounds really really amazing.

  • I didn't know Liz Taylor was still alive, let alone in a band.

  • if you turn your BASS DOWN all the way, it "cleans up" alot better. the cure has Never "coasted" but they do need to get Boris back. and if you havent heard the b-side "this morning" (from 2004), you need to download/ buy that track. 11/10. pure clasic heart breaking goosebumpy cure.

  • BORIS WILLIAMS MUST return to the band, Robert should get him back!

It's incredible how Jason still doesn't master the feeling of Play for Today and many other songs and doesn't help the band to get to the level it deserves, again!

  • i really miss boris, he was the definete cure drummer. i think that nowadays, jason has a much better understanding of boris' beats and rhythm and his style, but still - hes not boris. come back, come back like the rest of them.

  • Wow, I couldn't disagree more... jason is 10 times the drummer boris was at half his age... the song 'Us or Them' proves that pretty conclusively in my opinion... He's handling 64th note rests, that's just crazy.

  • Sheer brilliance, very moving as well I must say :,).

  • great song....

    i'm waiting the new album...

    and...

i'm waiting the cure in milan!

  • waiting for concert in Paris

  • Did porl shave his head?

  • no, he's just bald!

  • damn, i can't wait for the next album

  • Cure by numbers. They've been coasting like this for over a decade now. zzzzzzz.

  • Shame about the sound quality, but I'm glad you posted this. You did everyone a great favour and you should feel great about it.

    the cure 4ever

  • Great song, good footage but BAD SOUND QUALITY. From about 37secs into the video until about 3:49. shame.

  • Personally I think the improvising, is overrated as far as Porl's playing goes. I love Perry's live guitar work, cause he played the parts as they were intended, and were spot on. Both were and are fantastic guitarists in their own right, with different styles.

  • thank you for uploading!

does anyone know where i can find an mp3 of this or if it exists at this point? or the lyrics to this song?

  • look on the chain of flowers web-site

  • i mean a chain of flowers.

  • Seems like a great song. Hopefully a better quality version will pop up soon.

  • This seems like a lovely song though not very audible. Anyway, thank-you for uploading this, makeiko!

  • you're right, it's not the same without them...it's so much better. porl is a way, way, way better guitar player than perry. he can actually improvise.

  • i was in that show, 21/10/07 Cd Mexico and i travel to the north of the country (Hillo-Sonora) and believe me all having a smashing, great and exciting time. 3 days.

    please check the set list.

P.D. i don´t miss the keyboards in the show

they 4 were in charge of which outside-sorry

    thanks TC

  • HaloCure, not in Poland! We love The Cure.

  • SO MUCH FUZZ!!!

  • This song forgotten of the sessions 2004 of the album "the cure" Robert Smith said about this song:

"I wrote many sad songs for this album and Ross is sorry I did not include them. He believes they're the best of them all. One is the saddest I've ever written. It's called "The boy I never knew". I played it to everyone who came to the studio, and everyone broke in to tears. Too much for me. I didn't feel like releasing it now, but someday I will."

  • 3 dream concerts in Mexico City for people who love the cure. Fans sing, dance, Po-go on each song of their favorite group. The cure thanks them by a gift with magic set list. The Cure in Mexico City it 's like the cure in Europe 20 years ago...

Now in europe people are soft, well etablished...does not react....

  • THANKS SO MUCH for posting this!!
