  • I still remember the headline in the SUN: "Jeremy Goss Finish!" LOL

  • When I remember some fantastic games in the years gone by, this one ranks very highly =)

  • Best kit. Ever.

  • WTF is wrong with those kit designers. FOR BOTH TEAMS!

  • Thank you, alexncfc. Nice remembrance the days far back in 93. Was bundeswehr soldier that time, few hundred meters away from the munich olympic stadium, and at place when bayern was beaten by norwich. Ever bayern defeat is holiday to me.

  • Carrot munchers on tour

  • Not as good as Robin van Persie's volley.

  • norwichs claim to fame .....shame on you narwich fans

  • @imabut1 Yes dick head and we are the only English club to beat Bayern in Germany , stick that in your pipe and choke on it

  • love it how the goalie was rooted on both goals.

  • i love it when the BBC had to televise the other norwich european games after manchester united and liverpool etc went out and we marched on..

    big club biase

  • Got to admit that Goss goal was special .

  • @raoulandtheking Yes, that has been pointed out.Sorry.I just remember the football coverage that night.

ITV pundit: "Well, it's been a dark day for English teams in Europe.Manchester United went out.Aston Villa went out..."

Norwich fan: "Hello? What about us?We beat Bayern Munich!"

ITV pundit: "Sorry, you're on the other side, you don't count."

  • Norwichs best claim to fame. Never mind winning Fuck all, this makes them have a history?!

  • @Jinjajamie Hey, League Cup.Twice.(Yes, okay, it's hardly the Premier League...)

  • Norwich City, welcome back to the Premier League. I mean, that league needs spicing up doesn't it?

  • THERES ONLY ONE GRANT HOLT!

  • At that point that Norwich team could beat anyone, they were amazing. That team made not just a city proud but a county and a nation too!

  • The only English team ever to beat Bayern Munich at home :D

    Come on Norwich!

  • @vampirewar1002

    JACKOB

  • JACKOB

  • JACKOB

  • @raoulandtheking I think I'm right in saying after this round Norwich were the only English team still in Europe: Arsenal and Man Utd had been knocked out and Liverpool had finished three places below Norwich and didn't even qualify.

  • @skteosk

Not quite correct, this was season 1993/94......Arsenal went on to win the ECWC that season....Norwich had the second longest euro campaign tho.......of course these were the days when Man Utd couldn't even get into the Champions League group stages for love nor money....

  • @supahdupahguy81 Knew I should have looked it up...Thanks for the info.

  • SCUM!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @raoulandtheking At that time Norwich were mate. Just because you weren't born then doesn't mean it didn't happen, you ignorant tosser.

  • @raoulandtheking Yes it happened mate. 1993 Uefa Cup. Norwich were one of the biggest English teams back then, so John Motson commentated.

  • what about that amazing

  • is this the only game you ever won in Europe ?

  • @mattpark72 Nope, beat Vitesse Arnham in the first round of the Uefa.

  • Comment removed

  • uhhh ... what was the keeper doing?

  • Green and yellow jizz swallowers FUCKIN BUDGIES HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Green and yellow jizz swallowers FUCKIN BUDGIES HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

CALL THIS SUCCESS, SEE WHAT IPSWICH HAVE WON, NOT JUST ONE FUCKIN MATCH TOSSERS.

  • @norwichsquat ipswich and norwich are both wank so fuck yaself

  • @ddr110285 = Chelsea rent boy selling his body round Soho, the fuckin fag hag from plastic bridge.

  • @ddr110285 = Rent boy working the streets round Soho ; typical sad plastic Chelsea follower.

  • @norwichsquat

Yeah, they've won the most dickhead supporter on the planet. Get over yourself, it's a fucking game.

  • @THEPECKONATOR full of verbal diarrhoea as usual. No doubt comes from Norfolk; known as the retard and incest county of Britain.

  • @norwichsquat

Quite the hypocrite. No? You appear to be one of these Youtube idiots that leave stupid, pointless comments, then result in swearing when people question what you say... Yeah, maybe I am retarded, but I'm a damn sure hell'a lot smarter than you are.

  • bowen and culverhouse 2 of the best full backs of their time, best city have ever had

  • Come on you yellas

  • Probably better to put the year in the name or description of this vid and not just a tag.

Also, what is up with the goalie not even moving on either of the goals? Show a little respect for the game.

  • Of course Pokerfussy... when you are wrong footed by a 20 yard screamer of a volley, you aren't 'showing respect to the game.'

  • "won" not "one" ....DURRRRR

  • YOUR TEACHER DID YOU A FAVOUR ARSEHOLE

  • Man, I remember being in school and our PE teacher wouldn't let us watch the second leg. What a bastard.

    Great stuff. Cheers for sharing!

  • ON THE BALL CITY!!!!!!

  • i was there in the olympic-stadium in munich and a few fans from n.c.f.c.

this was a great night in munich...: )

  • those were the days

    OTBC City Till I die!

  • we are celebrating the 25th anniversay of Nowich City's 1985 Milk Cup triumph

available on DVD now from the official club site

  • What a team!

  • Mark Robbins make's a nuisence of himself with Matthieus!! Oh yeah, i bet even he cant believe hearing that now. Football bloody football. The sublime and the ridiculous!

  • Good ol' days

  • great effort by the kraut keeper on both occasions

  • thats cool mate.ama scouser i dont care about were someone is from.if there sound there sound.well excepet if you're a manc then thats different.lol.me and a lot of other scouse reds i know allways had a soft spot for norwich.thats why i was watching this vid my comment was just a laugh but people cant seem to take a joke without insulting you

  • shoffadoffa if you read back at what i said i never had a go at norwich or any city i was talking about him personally.unlike him i dont discriminate against a whole city or town.a lot of the hatred that comes towards scousers is based on jealousy.i bet he has never met a scouser yet he says dumb things.

  • thats true! sorry fella, i stand corrected

  • lol.good for you. you could never be scouse anyway lad you aint got nothing about you.you got no identity no culture.i come from a city thats famous around the world.the beatles the history of music and comics actors screen writers artists two of the worlds biggest football teams famous buildings are accent are sense of humour.what have you got? nothing.you aint got nothing but a chip on ya shoulder towards scousers.oh well.scouse 4 lyfe bitch enjoy lg 1.hahahahaha

  • sorry to interrupt boys, but you're wrong jimmy - norwich people have identity, culture and an abundance of talent - the beatles may not have been born in our city, but who the fuck else can say that they were apart from you ? i preferred the stones anyway mate ;) no beef towards you coz all the scousers i've met so far have been good people .. just don't knock our city

  • lol the best at what getting beat 7-1 at home against colchester you deffo take the trophy for that

  • i'd rather lose 7-1 every week than be scouse.. other than the slutty women

  • Great effort from Norwich, here.

  • Not anymore unfortunately. 7-1 ! =\

canaries till i die though :)

  • CUM ON U YELLOWS

we allway will be the best doesnt matter wat league we in !!

  • Those were the days....

    Bring on Legue 1

  • I love watching this on one level, but it's so sad to see where we were then and where we are now. Ive seen that Gossy goal about 1000 times.

  • It is really sad to see sides that werre top flight regulars 10-20 years ago slipping into football abyss. I support one of the big four but these european nights were very entertaining matches, shame money rules everything now.

  • watch?v=90qKhKtMoV0

    Norwich last game in champsionship.

    V

    Charlton

  • go fuck urself they'll be back next season

  • Norwich city are amazin and they are definatly stayin up in the championship.

  • Lol no chance! You're relying on Barnsley losing at Plymouth (who have nothing to play for) and you need to beat Charlton away!

  • who also have nothing to play for

  • Who do you support mate? I'm a Forest fan, youuuuuuuuu reds!

  • Exeter

  • Hope u didnt put a bet on lol

  • Not sure what is worse, your spelling mistakes or your lack of knowledge about football.

    Norwich staying up, eh?

  • i wish.

  • fuck off to the third tier of english football where you belong

  • fuck off prick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Boring, cliched and predictable comeback that a 8 year old could have thought of.

Very weak. Try again. You're going down and you know it. So as I said before, fuck off to the third tier of English football.

  • wow this is really good. but your still going down WEHHHHH. THE REDS ARE STAYIN UP!! NFFC

  • Those were the days, NCFC had a class team then, pity no trophies to show for it.... shame they had to wear such a skanky kit then!

  • nice :D ownag get in. up the city!!!

  • I remember this well. The thing you have to remember is this is '93 and no English team had done jack shit in Europe since '85 (Heysel). Motty said earlier on, "...you have to say this is the best perfomance by an English team since Heysel."

  • My godi remember this match was on the BBC aswell..... How times change hey

  • The 2nd leg was shown on BBC Live, I believe the first leg even though it was a UEFA Cup match, was shown on Sky Sports.

  • Crap Norwich strip. The early 90's must have had the worst kits of all time, with Liverpool's 1992 Candy version the worst.

  • GET in norwich lol

  • only english team to ever beat munich in germany... lovely!

  • Chelsea should have. Bayern scored twice in injruy time to win 3-2. 1-1 was offisde and 3-2 should have been ruled out. 2 minutes OVER injury time, wtf ref?!?

  • gr8 playin norwich :)

  • This was Sept/Oct 1993 I believe

  • What a glory Hunter Motson is. If it had been Rooney or Ronaldo he would have been wetting his pants when the first goal went in!

  • @bensutherland You will love the video 'John Motson gets destroyed by Brian Clough' :)

  • Comment removed

  • Sheer class. Probably the best time in many a City fans life. I still get emotional about this game and the 2nd leg too. Sad, but we don't get much to be happy about LOL ! ;o)

  • city certainly showed the big boys ( man utd. liverpool, arsenal) how to win in the germans own back yard as they all tried and failed!! I rest my case!!!!

  • Lowdale i see you are a hull city fan and you are calling norwich a crap little club we are 10 times the club you are you aint even got any history you small club

  • When was this?

  • like 1994 or 1996 somthing like that

  • shiver me timbers goss the G

  • were still the only english club to have beaten bayern munich in the olympic stadium, and that record will stay,as bayern dont play there naymore!!

  • No Offence but how many times have English Clubs played there?

  • None taken, not many!!once to be precise so 100%record then!!

  • That was probs the best goal goss and norwich have ever scored.

Except for ched evans against cardiff.

  • Those old jerseys are hideous. I love the new kits.

  • bayern munich are sick now

  • Decided to watch this after our woeful dfeat to MK Dons this evening.

    Our finest hour :-) OTBC

  • Exactly the same for me, still brings a lump to my throat!Let's be having you!!

  • yh i agree this was our golden hour

    or golden 90 minutes haha

  • send me your t-shirt blonde i no received it yet more love in your eyes but not in your passport (joke for mit you)

  • english football sucks.....the clubs are only buying people from other countrys....because the real britans cant play football

  • lol the english premier is the most fun to watch and it is that for a reason and that tells a bit about your taste in football

  • actualy its cos players from abroad are cheeper so british players are not given a chance these days. how many non brish were in this norwich team. only 1 i beleave.

  • None in this match, though Ade Akinbiyi made his debut in the 2nd leg and Efan Ekoku also playe for them at the time

  • W00T

  • if bayern was playin in the premiership they'd be about 6th.

  • fuck off!! that shows u dont know nothing about bayern....

    bayern munchen deutscher meister ;)

  • lol Im only messing mate you need to chill out its only banter :) I dont care where Ipswich come as long as Norwich stay in the Championship or get promotion :). Best of luck etc except on derby days :P x

  • Not refuting that, still doesnt change my original statement that Norwich are still the highest to finish in the Premiership :P

  • Yeah but its still not the premiership is it lol

  • Well the Division one titles one and Norwich are currently the only East Anglian team to finish in the top four in the Premierships history :-)

  • So a guy is involved in a crime that ends up with the victim getting a broken jaw, among other injuries, and he gets a caution for common assault. Yet a 70+ year old lady doesn't pay her council tax and gets put in prison. That's British Justice for you.

  • we are the only english team to win there:-)

  • Wer hat am letzten Spieltag nichts zu feiern?

    FC Bayern.

    FC Bayern.

    Nichts zu feiern.

A German football chant that translates to "Who had nothing to celebrate about last match?

    FC Bayern. FC Bayern.

    Nothing to cheer about"

    OTBC!!

  • when?

  • Really enlightening Raoul! Forget Ipswich's past glories, you can't deny the quality of this game! If Ipswich are so fantastic why are you bothered enough to write this pap? Maybe it's because you are jealous that Norwich is a far superior environment to Ipswich and you have a wee chip on your shoulder! L

  • Went in though didnt it, all that matters ;)

  • Goss always knew how to hit a ball. Anyone seen the video clip of his goal vs leeds? What a strike that was too.

  • his book is splendid, im really enjoying it. i would definitely like to meet, will have to show him around the press box.

  • wow, what a result, Brian Gunn -what a legend just reading his book. would like to meet him for him to sign it next season if he comes to Oakwell. Does he still work for the club?

  • He does still work at the club. No one seems to know what as, sometimes I wonder if he knows what he does, he seems to have had 3 jobs this season!

But all the same, he is a legend. I'm sure he'll be at Oakwell next season.

  • it made me laugh all the other english teams were crap and out so the bbc had cover norwich city games, pity that all the time we could have been in europe we werent because of the ban..shame.

  • how do u work that one out, highest in the table, going to the prem, itfc

  • Calm down, Norwich were never going to do just as Ipswich are never going to make it to the premiership. As normal theyl get to just outside the playoffs and fuck it up as normal.

  • come on you yellows!! still greatest team in the east of england

  • How do you possibly work that one out? In terms of major honours, Norwich have only ever won the league cup twice, Ipswich have won the FA Cup, League, UEFA Cup, produced England's two best managers (Norwich have produced none), over 130 England caps (vs. Norwich's six), two England captains (Norwich's none), won more derby games, been in the top flight longer. Ipswich fans don't go on about getting to the QF stage of a competition they've won. Everyone knows who has the history and tradition

  • At least were not from Ipswich though.

  • Great comeback, I'm speechless.

Neither am I. From Aldeburgh (one of the most popular tourist destinations and culturally-interesting spots in East Anglia. In Suffolk).

  • I thought it was a good one.

  • Yeah but living in the past is also what Ipswich fans have over Norwich lol. If all the fans in Suffolk actually went to the football instead of thinking about the glory days then maybe Portman road would get 90% attendances like Carrow Road does week in week out. Everyone knows where the history tradition is but the fact is Norwich have the more loyal fans.

  • But your ground is smaller! History and tradition shape the present. That's why you've just had "the best ever Norwich team" awards which went mainly to the 1993 side, which won nothing and lost twice to Inter Milan in the QF. OK, let's live in the present. We've got a billionaire investor who wiped out our debts and has made millions available. Where did Norwich finish last season? Er, only a few points off relegation. Who won the last derby? So, living in the present has its advantages too!;)

  • where has your billionaire got you so far lol

  • blue army!!!!!!!!!!

  • ey come NCFC let's do one more game agaisnt Bayern's second squad,lo0o0o0ol hrrrm actually naaah ef that Bundesliga title favourites against a team that can't even go premiership!!lo0o0o0ol so lame.. n u nowrich fans feel sooooo happy pleaseee coz lookin at reality, it will never happen in our lifetime again!lol

  • I would say that Norwich jersey at the age results so far as one of the best ever weared by a football team... I don't remember when and on which magazine, but once they made a searching from which this jersey effectively came out as one of the best 10 favorites of history...

  • On the ball city

THE ONLY TEAM TO BEAT MUNCHIC AT HOME EVA BECAUSE THEY NOCED DOWN THE STADAIM ( WORLD RECORED)

  • i remember that in da days i liked da canaries, i remeber goss's goal against lfc aswell. he one of my fav players

  • Not as much of a joke as you are, mate.

  • I love this vid. my names sam crook and my dads ian crook the guy who knocks in the free kick for mark bowen's goal. I'm so proud of my dad. COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!! ON THE BALL CITY!!

  • Tell your dad he was a legend. Great passer of the ball, but should never have gone to Spurs!

  • so many jealous fans if youre team would have won away to munich u would be going on about it the way we are. ncfc 4 lyf cmon u yellows, roeder to takes back to the prem where we belong!

  • I didn't "choose the goals" as you put it. The other goal wasn't available. It's also not a "game", I clearly said GOALS FROM. So yeah, thanks for your constructive comment.

  • WTF - get over what exactly? So it's fine for other clubs to post videos of their good times on here but not us? Why the fuck don't you get over it?

  • I totally agree - WTF? NCFC have been starved of trophies over the years, they did something no other English team could do and you want to knock them for it? Let me guess, you are a Man U or Liverpool fan living in Ipshit?

  • But you might as well say that Arsenal have done something no other english team have done, by beating Inter Milan at home etc etc every club has its own "we did something great"...ITFC did it by beating St Etienne (unbeaten that season and never lost in Europe, with Plantini etc) 4-0 which was the equivalent of Real Madrid getting stuffed 4-0 at home. Oh, we also won the competition that season and produced another England manager.....losing twice to Inter Milan in the QF just doesn't compare

  • what a sad litle man...

  • only english team to win in munich!

    CMON CITY!

  • norwich are playin on boxing day and new years day! im seeing them on new years day woot woot!

    CMON CITY!!!!!!!!

  • Don't tell me, you're one of those people from the Prawn Sandwich brigade. Throw enough money at it, and your team will win a major trophy......

  • ON THE BALL CITY!!!

Up the canaries under Glenn Roeder

  • Norwich are awsome that was best moment ever!!!!!! Pity they are doing badly now though!

  • Nichts zu feiern, FC Bayern!

    (Nothing to celebrate, FC Bayern)

  • ******SUPPORT OUR HOMECOMING TROOPS*****.Norwich on Nov 22nd. It will start at town hall at 14.00 and finish at the cathedral at 15.15.
