  • In the 80s when cb was real it used to be great could talk all over the world but then the goverment changed it to FM only and killed it off

  • actualy cb is still alive.. no need for a license for it too.

fm sucks but theirs still sideband. also fm isnt so bad for range. ive had contacts into most of europe on fm

  • Very funny. Brilliantly put together!

  • Dave Lee Travis and Paul Burnett...2 Radio 1 jocks what a laugh

  • Great. Had forgotten about this one till I stumbled upon it. Brings back some good memories...

  • It took me five mins of searchin to find it, Really stumbling? all I could remember was "oh look a bear in the air"

  • one of the best skits ever-not politically correct but who gives a toss

  • DLT under the pseudonym Laurie Lingo and the Dipsticks. 1976

  • a brilliant spoof....

  • Hey, this is alright! By the way, have you heard " 'Round The World With The Rubber Duck" ?

  • Comment removed

  • Wasn't this former Radio 1 beardie Dave Lee Travis?

  • Yep - the Hairy Cornflake himself!

  • Margatelad,

Whats your problem? I wondered who or what your abuse was aimed at?

  • U.S. Friend here. That was awesome. I grew up with C.W. McCall's "Convoy", so this was definitely something different. (Afraid I don't know much about the trucking industry in the UK, however.) Good Job!

  • EXCELLENT one of the best on youtube

10.10 Mallard on the side we down we're gone bye bye

  • Superb. I have the 7" Vinyl

  • Ive been trying to find this for years, brilliantly put together, and just for the record id rather have DLT than the incessant drivel on radio 1 now.

  • This is hilarious; better than the original..loved it!!

  • Hey Ken - relax - this was a send up. Remember the time when we could laugh at each other? without others reading somthing in to it. Nice one DLT.

  • Hey fig , chill out man - you are 45 yourself - probably older than they were !. Anyway nothings changed - we now have the likes of Jo Whiley who`s up her own arse and is in her mid 40`s thinking she`s one of the kids so what`s changed ?

  • your a rude nasty person that kind of language is not called for we hear in the street and on the tv i object to reading it as well so do one and dont comment unless its civl

  • @kenfig well said Ken .. on the nail ..and as the re-runs of Top of the Pops show visually what an utter a-hole DLT was and why punk came along and wiped the smugness off their faces... Game Over I am recording all the re-runs of TOTP and this song has just ruined the latest episode of great talent by having this bearded twat stuck right in the middle...its embarrassing to watch and I feel embarrassed for him ... I hope any money he receives from repeats is donated to a worthy cause

  • Well put together. I remember this in the charts, recorded by 'Laurie Lingo and the Dipsticks', who were really 2 of BBC Radio's DJs - Dave Lee Travis and Paul Burnett. Excellent

  • thanks - I was trying to remember the name...

I remember the lovely D.L.T. was one of them. The 70's was great...less posers and more laughs.

Yes - well put together. It helps if people know of the original by C.W. McCall that they were spoofing.

  • a very very funny spoof

  • you're having a fuckin laugh though aren't ya?

  • very clever!!!!
