no dude its not a slash epiphone. I picked it out like 2 or 3 years ago b 4 any of the slash les pauls came out. Those are stock epiphone pickups in there.

heres the deal dude. The song on the record is in Eb tunning(half step down). I played it here in standard E because i couldnt find a backing track in Eb. However when VR plays this live they play it in D (a full step down). Strange. To answer your question it sounds much better in Eb rather than E. when i play this song live I always play it in Eb. Hope it helps. The riffs arent exactly like slash. They're more of my "slashy" style playing.
