Content labeled S+ may contain explicit sexual activity. This includes engaging in sex acts, touching of genitals and individuals engaging in fetishes for purposes of sexual gratification (e.g. bondage, domination and sadomasochism). Note
Some films and television shows may contain S+ content; however videos originating from the YouTube user community must abide by the YouTube Community Guidelines and are not permitted to include such content.
Just wanted to point out something from the help page you linked.
"Some films and television shows may contain N+ content; however, videos originating from the YouTube user community must abide by the YouTube Community Guidelines and are not permitted to include such content."
I don't know if they added that after you said something or not. It looks though like it only applies for movie and TV show content.
I don't like the unflaggable channels thing though. Maybe they got too many fake flags?
People can flag Evolution of Dance? But that guy secured permission for each song... that's why his sequel took so long to release, cuz he had to get permission for all the songs... so he shouldn't be flaggable... ~ ~ ~ by the way I like the screencap for this vid, you look quite thoughtful
Just today I posted another movie parody. This time it was for "The Accused". When I did a search of YouTube for clips, I was surprised to find the entire movie including a shots of Jodie Foster's bare breasts and that rather graphic rape scene intact. The movie had been posted over a year ago and viewed almost 30,000 times. I checked again today and that poster has deleted his or her account. However, I would find it hard to believe that no one flagged this before. Sounds fishy to me.
I don't like the bad videos that come up because I'm worried that my niece/nephew will see them, but doesn't it make sense that there's no need to flag the video if the user who posted it already set an appropriate age restrictions? The scary thing is when someone posts a bad video but sets it so anyone can see it. But Youtube does overreact in judging a few videos like yours...
And I'm absolutely against the idea of my niece using Youtube, but I can't stop her really, she does it anyway. <:/
Maybe because those channels get a FUCK load of views and they never do anything risky... so instead of getting flooded with rubbished flag requests, they've stopped them?
Well there is only some nudity in the movies section. To my knowledge no one from the UGC that has had the flag button disabled has posted nudity. For a while TheStation had the flag button disabled but that is no longer the case. The station has posted some very risky content.
It wouldn't bother me as much if the flagging system was set up such that once a video has been flagged and actually reviewed by a person it could not be flagged again for the same reason ever again. End users also need a means to contest flaggings that is expedient and fair.
That is absolultely correct. If I remember correctly SMPfilms had a video flagged, then he appealed and got it unflagged only to have it flagged again. I seem to remember him twittering that this past spring.
Also on a fun note, the YouTube style porn sites do not have a flag option. Yet somehow these sites manage to keep the bad illegal porn (kiddie or animal stuff) off of their sites. I wonder how they do this?
Wow, I didn't know these heavies couldn't be flagged! It makes sense--YouTube needs the ad revenue from these featured vids, and since YouTube trusts these heavies not to do anything stupid, they can't be touched by the unwashed masses.
Pee Wee just opened a live show in Vegas with many of his former cast mates. If I had the money I would go see that. Just don't sit next to Pee Wee at the adult theater.
it only takes one person to flag a video, then that video is reviewed by YouTube. Depending on the person who reviews it, ie are they a prude or not, the video will either be left alone, age restricted, or removed. Videos that are removed result in TOS violations that last 6 months.
i see that a lot. what sad is youtube dont support fair use. hell. your right on that too. you cant flag them no matter what. i bet they pay youtube lot of money to have it. i all most lost my video 1 time.
im sick of youtube being so tight on my old acount i had epic videos but now on this one iv only got videos that dont infringe the terms of service and there all boring as hell people wouldnt get pissed off if youtube did the same to everybody but it dosnt it just selects certain people

good theory, but you can still flag the evolution of dance, the second most viewed video in youtube history.
HappyCabbie 2 years ago
most viewed of all time... its views arent going up at nearly the same rate as say charles/ally's channel... something like 200,000 a day??

i love your analogy about driving down the highway and being pulled by the cops for a ticket. thats pretty much how it feels.
perhapse youtube should implement a feature that allows all users to give his/her videos an age restriction or classification.
that could be an idea!
detr1mentalist 2 years ago
Other sites such as Metacafe already let their users age restrict their own videos.

I didn't know some channels couldn't be flagged at all. That's not right that some are posting nudity, YouTube isn't the place for that.

They probably review them before they actually post them. Wouldn't know. Never posted there lol

That would be an interesting experiment. Let me see what it takes to upload on one of those sites.
HappyCabbie 2 years ago
the reason they cant be flagged is because they are set up as series with episodes and seasons
cpg1028 2 years ago
Still do you think it is fair that some people can get flagged while others are permitted to post nudity, language, drug use and the other stuff.
