Ah this game. One of my favorites of all time. Spent over 90hrs on it (which for me is a gigantic time investment). Got the ultimate team going. Took on Metatron and Beelzabub in the optional dungeon. So great. Still won't let my religious friend play it. I don't think he'd take too well to it.

I never played any other SMT when i first played Nocturne, it was one of a kinds JRPG experience for me. Its light on character/ melodrama more heavy on the setting/plot.

Hmm its like playing Fallout meets pokemon to put it very bluntly.

Don't remember that guy's name, either. I do remember the cute baby dragon, Leviathan. I knew from just looking at him he was going to be a pain; nothing looks like that in video games and not have a 1-hit kill somewhere in their moveset.

I still can't believe Vanillaware made Odette Corny's FIRST boss. I mean, come on!

Felt the same way about BK:O when I saw someone play it on YT, but now I'm stuck on this one boss inside of a volcano, and I'm just not seeing myself finish that one.

This is odd for me since I was able to finish Dragon Quest 8 in over 140 hours and still love it, yet I'm about 20 hours in BK:O and I see nothing but hard times ahead.

What I may need 2 do is grind a little more to learn about how to switch up cards to create better combos. Until then, I'll be OK about beating other games.

Persona 3:FES is an excellent game from what I've seen, but it looks like a grindfest til the very end. If it's not leveling up personas, it's improving Social Links. Then there are the bosses :(. Most of them take about 45 minutes to kill and the final boss can last up to 2-3 hours.

That actually make some sense since it looks like you do nothing but press X for about an hour. I saw the Endurance Run on Giant Bomb for P4, and it took them about 1:30 hrs to just be able to move! ...Oh well. Some day, I'll pick it up and see for myself.

Or just pick up P5 whenever that comes out.

Anyway, how long did "the journey" take you on your first time through? Just wanted to compare your time with my DQ8 time and see if it's worth it.

it was around 84 hours ta is whitout counting times i died in boss batles, nor time i had to tur itoff whiou saving, wich forced me to do evrything again but since i knew were to go and had already sseen the scenes i just skiped rigth tough it, meaning lss play time XD but i recomend playng it, its long, i havnt passed dq8 to see if its longer but ersona is Quite long

That's a bit over half the time I took for DQ8! Dammit fine! I'll get it whenever I get a chance. XD. Hopefully during March I'll pick it up, since there doesn't appear to be any games coming out during then.

Until then, I'll be looking forward to Bayonetta and NMH2.

P.S. Most of the time I spent on DQ8 could have been taken out, since I spent that time creating weapons, armor, and health items I rarely needed.

I think Persona 4 was more of a grindfest. WIth Persona 3:FES, I kinda found a strategy and was able to succeed with it. In P4, the main thing that through me off was that you had to pay a HUGE amount of money to heal when in dungeons, limiting how much you could level up per day.

I just got done watching the P4 Endurance Run on Giant Bomb, and to put it bluntly, I don't think I need to touch that game for myself anymore. The only reason I watched all 155 videos was because of the hilarious commentary Vinny and Jeff made throughout.

That, and their complete ignorance when it came to fusing monsters.

Overall, the game just felt like Pokemon with a good story. Hopefully, I can get my hands on DDS one day.

But I gotta finish Yakuza 2 and Rogue Galaxy before then.

Smt games are the absolute best. They delve into subjects no other form of literature (movie game or book) will touch and the music and story are unparalelled. The gameplay is usually fun as hell too. Im going to order this game, just recently beat P4 and have beat P3FES. Cant wait for Persona1 remake on PsP!!!!
