could have been in a flood, crashed badly and repaired, or most insurance companies will total a car if the air bags go off even if there is nothing wrong with body to speak of. also if a car is stolen it gets salvage "recovered" title. these can be good deals but can also end up killing you if you crash them.

@origionalwinja If the airbags go off, all that needs to be fixed is the windshield and any body damage that was done during the collision. Most body damage from minor collisions is repairable once all potential safety issues are remedied. Secondly, all stolen cars that are recovered are returned to their rightful owners and any damage that's done is repaired. The most common being smashed out windows and damaged ignition interlock key intakes.
