the strafe speed ruins this game, its all luck moving left to right shooting your entire clip... i like socom 4 pace more but they still need to adjust the aim speed NOT movement speed.........

Socom 4 is a completely upgraded game from socom confrontation. There are only a few things I miss from this game. 1. The crosshairs in this were a little bit better. 2. The maps Desert glory and Frost Fire. I wish those where in socom 4.

They took out lobbies, grenade archs, UCRR's, no pistols? wtf?, the maps are solely based on ranked respawns (call of duty?), etc. etc. This game shouldnt have socom on the title. thats the only problem. the game is smooth and has decent gameplay but its not that Socom feeling. Socom 1,2, and 3 were so addicting. aka. Socrack

@presidentialsh1t I liked the lobbies in confrontation, but I can live with out them. I didn't care about grenade arcs, I don't know what UCCR's are, It does kinda suck there aren't any pistols. I don't know what you mean by ranked respawns. I do like the game and it feels like SOCOM to me, but I understand why SOCOM fans who played the first 3 are pissed. If i played the first 3 I would want that feeling back too.

Stiff characters, wacky camera movement, retarded physics......graphics are ok but it looks like it could use a better particle rendering code. Socom on ps2 was ok back in the day; however this game just looks shitty when compared to modern warfare.

Idont know if the camera has been speeded up, but these guys run like they are on crack, and crack is whack in video games. I know they are high speed Navy Seals but uhh yeah seriously.

I agree with IIkk, this game would be much better if there was story mode. The other suckish thing about this game is that the controls are much different from most other games. The up button is aim instaid of L1, the reload is right anolog stick instead of square, the R2 button is sprint. You can change your control schemes but it won't change much.

@slicernce classic socom has always been reload with R3, quick swap L1, scope and first person on the d pad. its been that way since socom 1 now granted that s1 and s2 had double quick swap so idk what game you're basing the controls on but its not socom. ftb has reload on square but it's psp.

I played this before and it was a good idea to make a Socom game all almost it's multiplayer.You can make clan,soldiers,all sorts of stuff and they have a whole new set of weapons and the old weapons from the other Socom games.Nice video man.

If you enjoy tactical shooters like this, that REALLY punish run and gun "rambo style"noobs, then you REALLY need to try out Rsv2. That game has all the tactical ingredients from socom, but the controls are WAY more accurate and easy to maneuver with, I think you'll love it!!

Rsv1 is great, but i just love to have a sprint button, especially for campaign mode, because i just felt getting from point A to point B was such a drag being done at a snail's pace, also i never played the campaign of the first again because i felt i was not accomplishing anything, as opposed to Rsv2 wich i play co-op all the time, add to that the fact that on vegas2 you can do T-hunt with your Ai team, and the choice for me was already made : ) and by the way, Cod4 is UGHRRR, horrible to me.

Yes, this is a classic SOCOM game mode. Similar to CoD4's "Search & Destroy" mode. You only get 1 life per round, and there's 11 rounds (on previous SOCOMs anyways). Once you die, you must wait until the round is over.

Well realistically he would not die. He might have a broken ankle or two, but he probably would not die. But I also agree and they should make it so if you jump off something moderately high you brake your ankles and lose some life and lay down, unable to move. If you jumped from somewhere very high then you could die. That would be cool.
