Sure, Avada isn't perfect... But just the way he speeds up his really weird sounding "Kuhdahvruh" seems to clash with it.

Personally, I think he should've been more sinister sounding. Harry was standing there courageously accepting death. They should've pushed the courage as far as it could go by having Voldemort saying it in the most threatning way possible.
