The Sculptures are so beautiful,they should have been displayed anywhere and everywhere.The human body is the most beautiful creation and should not have to be covered up,and made into something dirty.I am sick of fundamentalist and conservatives making the masses as repressed and miserable as they are.The sculptures were very tastefully done,and would inspire others to be creative and artistic.

I have been contacted by the gay owners of a pub in Cornwall, who apparently last year, despite being sponsors of Cornwall Pride, found themselves BANNED from entry.

As you can imagine they say they are NOT sponsoring Cornwall Pride this year.

There are increasing allogations being circulated & forwarded to me that it (Cornwall Pride) is run for the financial advancement & benefit of a few who gain from spin off from the event at the exclusion of other lgbt run businesses in Cornwall

A Friend attending this years UK Pagan Conference may take up the ban by Cornwall pride towards pagan sculptures.

Fortunately, my friend also has their own personal experience of the negative attitudes of police in Cornwall AGAINST gay people and has an insight into police homophobia.

Much as I'd 'LOVE' to post your comment regarding various activities of certain persons within Pride, I regret I cannot as it would leave me open to having video removed, whereas ...they can't do diddly squat about the proveable facts regarding their prejudice. I am interested in gathering further information about Cornwall Pride as many others are being excluded and feel quite powerless to do anything about it.

Cornwall pride has been lucrative for a few individuals but the success ends there...everything else about it is a sham -its also common knowledge that one of pride committee members has had underage sex with schoolboys ....and another was famous for homemade internet porn going by the screen name 'CKBOI' - hes the chairman this year - how moral and wholesome to have him upholding 'family values' in cornwall - LOL well manchester pride is on the SAME weekend - so i know where im going .

When did Neil Hawke become such a prude ? a couple years ago he was famous for his home made porn videos - you could google him 'CKBOI' and he was on most of the websites like xtube , fitlads etc ..........and on gaydar chat most nights asking for a fu*k - all this was while he was in a relationship with the DJ .....Just amuses me that the guy has suddenly become such a prude over a few bronze sculptures .

Interesting, I've learned of a lesbian book seller NOT welcome at Cornwall Pride, a Cornish Womens social group, NOT welcome at Cornwall pride, an HIV/AIDS trust fund group, NOT welcome at Cornwall pride, my own pagan art sculpture NOT welcome at Cornwall Pride & a Gay pagan group NOT welcome at Cornwall Pride...so much for Cornwall Pride being inclusive!

@plshorts. Simple, its where our family home is & in my 78yr old mothers words " refuses to be driven from her home by DEVON & Cornwall police prejudice & discrimination". The tenants in the house feel the same way, although one has previously left due to Cornwall police intimidation & bullying. In Devon there is the Intercom Trust..see 'Henry Scott Tuke' Video, another anti-gay organisation . "The greatest evil is when good people do nothing", & I believe in fighting corruption & prejudice.

I do not get it ! There is absolutely nothing offensive about any of these bronzes!

Though they possess modern characteristics, they in no small way, pay homage

to surviving works out of "Classical Antiquity"! Though I am aware that "taste" is highly subjective, I cannot imagine how any of these works could place this event at risk? Absurd!!!

Unfortunately, there are those who 'dumb' down gay pride, who would turn gay culture into nothing more than just another pop music event, negating & excluding many other forms of gay (and in this case gay pagan) lifestyle, experience & culture. Its ironic that these sculptures are created in Cornwall, by a gay/pagan person in Cornwall, but are banned in Cornwall by Cornwall Pride....whereas most of the Pride acts are imported from outside Cornwall.

The theme for this years 2011 Cornwall Gay Pride is fairytales, mythology and legends.

Yet they have BANNED sculptures of Satyrs, Fauns, Dionysos, Demons & other pagan iconography, ...even a pride flag standard bearer statue.

The only real myth is the Cornwall pride committee claim of inclusiveness and embracing of diversity of art & culture.
