It proposes an interesting theory to how Kubrick was hired by the US government to direct the Apollo moon landing while he was directing 2001: A Space Odyssey. Kubrick leaves many many many clues in his movie "the shining" if you watch closely enough. Its a must watch for any Kubrick fan.

@blackmassus Warner Brother cut out 25 minutes form it so its not even Kubrick's edit just look at the end of the masked ball scene they tell Tom to go back to his home and a second later Tom is allready in his home that scene dosent make any scence WB cut out some major part's!! They didnt like something in the movie and Kubrick's death meant his deall with them to not edit his pictures was off , i wish i once will see the movie as Kubrick made it

@F1brawfa Kubrick has done that type of edit before. I dont think there was a scene missing. Like when Jack sat down in the snow in The Shining, it immediately jumps to the next day when he is frozen solid.

@F1brawfa Hmm. That jump cut made sense to me. Because his nocturnal adventures had reached its absolute peak when the red cloak yelled at him to "GO!". It made sense for it to cut to him arriving at home. Showing the drive home or walking out of the mansion wouldnt have added anything. But interesting point....
