Ive seen those camera flash things in Ohio Utah and texas, meteor sounds like good reasoning but I would like to know for sure what causes it. Aliens aren't real people..

stoney meteorite not associated with the shower came in from the SW over Norther California/SE Oregon. Seen in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. Strewn Field where the fragments landed apparently Dugway Proving Grounds. Do not go there as they will shoot you if you try to enter the reservation. There were multiple shock waves as the meteor broke up and possible sonic booms. Normal thing. these happen about once a day somewhere in the world.

Ya im kida proud of myself couse i had fantastic timing, i woke up and after laying in bed for a while i decided to go to the bathroom so right as i walked past my family rooms big window the whole world just lit up. Im gonna admit i thought it was like alians or the end of the world....i went outside and couldnt see anything! I tried to tell my mom but she told me id been dreaming i was pretty freaked...hehe i found out what happened the next day

I live in Phoenix, AZ and when I saw it the magnitude of the light/meteor made it feel like it was only 10-15 miles away max. Come to find out it was more like 600 miles away. Absolutly amazing! I feel blessed that I witnessed it!

My brother lives in SLC, called me in Texas with the news of this event. What you saw was incredible, according to the news links he sent - wow. Congrats! Saw one of these in December 2007, nothing of this magnitude, mind you, but still. Flew right over the apartment, I ducked ... LOL! Didn't know what it was. I was freaked out, too, then. 5/5 stars and an add to my SkyWatch playlist!

na it was scilent, not a sound was made it just looked like the sun exslpoded it acctualy happend 600 miles away and sound cant travle in space so i dont think anyone heard anything

I saw it! I was with my best friend in my car.. when the light first appeared, my first thought was that a street lamp had gone on above our heads, but as the light grew brighter it became a bluish-green, and I looked up. The meteor looked SO close! The orange flaming rocks were completely visible as it streaked through the sky, and it was as if a solid sun were falling out of the night sky. The meteor disappeared behind some houses. My friend thought we were going to die!

I was already in bed when my bedroom lit up with a green glow. I jumped out of bed and looked out the window, but only saw the smoke trail left behind. Many friends say the same thing, they saw the flash, but missed seeing the meteor.

I'm lying in my bed talking on the phone to my daughter who's driving home. All of a sudden she makes a noise like, "Whoa! Oh my gosh!" At the same moment a light appears around my window blinds, just like a car was pulling into the driveway. Then she tells me that the sky just lit up like it was noon. I tell her that I saw the same light through my window even though the blinds were closed, and oh, how I wish they would have been open so I could've seen the whole thing. What a trip!

How freaky! I would have been panicking and wondering if it were a nuke. The noise you heard was probably the sonic boom. It occured five minutes (about) after the flash of light. That means that the thing must have been about 300 KM from Earth. I mean, it took five minutes from the time you saw the flash for the sound to reach your ears. OOHFAH!

crazy! that's exactly how my husband saw it out here in Las Vegas...he was at Lake Mead facing North and said the sky lit up like it was daylight and he saw an orange fireball like the one caught in your video..thanks for posting!
