well I am a big fan of Honda but honestly there is nothing safer than a Volvo. Acura cars are huge now and thats why they have top safety picks. The c30 and C70 are harder to make safest because c30 is pretty small and the c70 is a convertible.

Acura = very safe.

Volvo = very safe.

Different kind of safeties, Acura's more of the airbag emphasizing, "heart-warming" type of safety, while Volvo's a more serious, structurally based safety that is more of the "tank" safety. Both however are very strong, while providing ample cushioning for the driver.

I drive a 2000 Volvo S40... and I got to say that it's a good car... and a fast one at that! I've been up to 142mph. Down I-5 in Northern California. I'm glad it can keep me safe... at a safe speed that is!

aca en mi pais Chile, hicieron un reportaje de los vehiculos mas seguros en el mundo, y Volvo fue el ganador lejos.....

Me referia sobre contemplar el viendo a las personas que sacan las manos para sentir el viento, es algo normal, en especial lo hacen los niños, y si justo en ese momento ocurre un accidente, tenlo por seguro que algun daño causaran los vidrios. Le pondria un 9, solo por el tema de los vidrios, que no es menor.

Volvo ademas compite con los precios de mantencion de sus autos, en eso, saab no tiene nada que hacer... incluso dicen que el volvo es mas barato que bmw merdeces y audi, asi es que mas puntos a su favor se lleva Volvo...

Hola mi padre ha tenido ya 4 Volvos en Chile, el grna problema es la depreciacion....no se porque pero es tremendamente acelerada. Mi mare tiene un S 40 TSE, que es una version Turbo de baja especial, 2003, y lo va a cambiar por un S40 T5, y el antiguo se lo compran no mas de $ 6.000.000 de pesos eso es en dolares hoy, 13.000 dolares....es una porqueria de dinero....pensando en el precio original.

Es verdad, se deprecian muchisisisisisimo. El mío costo 35 mil dolares hace dos años y ahora vale 20 mil dolares. Pero te digo algo, todos los coches de nivel se deprecian. Por ejemplo un amigo tiene una R500 mercedes, costó 92 mil dolares en 2007 y ahora en 2008 vale 45 mil dolares.... en un solo año!!!

la seguridad ok, volvo siempre ha sido seguro. Mientras mas moderno el coche, mas seguro, ya que se usan nuevas tecnologias, nuevos tipos de acero, más soldaduras, mas electrónica para controlar frenado, volcaduras y derrapes. Volvo y Saab son muy similares pero yo prefiero volvo.

Bartonlomeo, me fije en el detalle que tu dices y me queda la impresión que es un efecto optico por la luz, o sea que cuando el auto choca y se mueve por el impacto, se ve el reflejo de la luz sobre los vidrios haciendolos notorios, pero para mi gusto siempre han estado cerrados.. Fijate bien y me cuentas. Saludos.

no estan cerrados, fijate solamente en el espejo trasero, solo en el trasero en el segundo 30 exacto, puedes ver la linea del espejo que da un 40% de cerrado despues del choque.

esos vidrios estan abiertos,si te fijas bien en el del otro lado,tambien se mira abierto de lo contrario si estubieran cerrados el de este lado no se vambolearia tan feo cuando choca en el segundo 30.
