As much as I like Congressman King and I think hes right on many issues BUT not this one. I live in Michigan myself where same sex marrige is not premited.
King, you are wrong. Many Iowans agree with same-sex marriges, and do not care what people do in private. I would know, becasue I am an Iowan and no one cares. Your fighting a losing battle with bad weaponry. If I could, I would run for your position in a heartbeat.
King is an ignorant man.....same sex couples want equality, nothing less.......the same civil rights......you can do what you like in your churches.....but in civil law equality is what Jefferson and Lincoln supported. Bigots are trying to impose religious interpretations of marriage on the rest of us.....it's the same impulse that seeks to impose Sharia law in the Middle eastern countries, religious zelotry ! We want a secular civil law system as envisaged b the founders.
Religion can chose to hate someone and its protected. We can chose to love someone and its not protected???? WTF?

The tide has never turned. It has always been in favour of gay marriage - people have just taken a long time to realise it.
