elmerfuddgummys the very sad thing is that the Gaelic language was forbidden to be spoken by Ireland's people that is why it is almost a dead language! I read an article that stated that as late in thus century that it was still not allowed in some parts of Ireland, I had the link to the page & when I had to reformat my computer I lost everything. we should never be forced to give up our heritage, when we do this we kill off so many vital pieces of our history, that is sad! Beautiful song!

I've listened to a number of Enya songs, and found them all to be amazing. My bloodline is predominantly Irish, and I would love to learn to speak Gaelic, but unfortunately, that is just not something they teach at my school ;) French and Spanish? I think it should be Gaelic and Latin....
I'm also Irish, but sadly, I have no way of learning Gaelic. I'd love to learn it, but it's almost considered a dead language, just like Latin, which i would love to learn as well. It seems we've picked the one's that are hardest to find.
