If I remember correctly she hurt her vocals cords some years back and that's why she can't belt or that's why she hasn't tired to belt anymore. She definitely is vocally talented. She needs to go back to this type of singing. She took it in another direction and it was not as successful. Jessica is really tallented, but I think she hasn't very good songs and that's why she wasn't as sucessful as other artists such as Christina, Britney and Beyoncé.

I mean, I like some songs from Jessica (like this one and With You, aslo I like Sweetest Sin) but I think her voice deserves better songs. Each album has only 3 or 4 good songs, that's the deal.

Jessica is really tallented, but I think she hasn't very good songs and that's why she wasn't as sucessful as other artists such as Christina, Britney and Beyoncé.

@NausAllien I think it is because she has slow ballads and you can't do a lot of dancing in the clubs to those..but they are beautiful.

@lovemy4boys1 But success is not limited to uptempo songs. For instance, two ballads (also called slow songs) from Christina were Billboard Hot 100 Top 3. I mean, I like some songs from Jessica (like this one and With You, aslo I like Sweetest Sin) but I think her voice deserves better songs. Each album has only 3 or 4 good songs, that's the deal.

LOL @ the comment above that said she focuses more on making faces and gestures... If you KNEW how to sing, you would know that certain singers do facial expressions and gestures to get their BEST voice out! Jessica is a GREAT singer! Love how POWERFUL her voice is! Best white female vocalist on my list ;)
