The Heartbeats are FICTIONAL! The lead singer of the Dells is named Marvin Junior. He has one of the most powerful voices of anyone in R&B ever. They have been at it well over 50 years now and when I saw them not too long ago, he could still hold those notes.( The longest one is in "Stay in My Corner"). Also remember their classic "The Love We Had (Stays on My Mind)" that was later covered by Dru Hill.
