@AlexeeGforce In the actual episode, it was stated that monsters already on the field when the card was activated were not allowed to attack for 3 turns, but any new monsters that were summoned after the card was activated were not affected. I believe they changed that later on in the show, and the actual game card.

Obviously you didn't watch series one they didn't really understand the game back then, you didn't need to sacrifice to summon and any card played after a spell card was not effected by that spell card. Monsters could attack spells and cards had effects far beyond what they were actually meant to do, in one episode the lunar equip card for silver wolf causes the water level on the field to rise, I'm not even joking. Series one had no rules

well use to be. Swords of the revealing light only trapped the monster that were on the field the time Swords of the revealing light were activate. Then in the Maximeluim (Don't know how to spell his name) the creator of duel monster decided to make a tournament then the rules started to change for example Swords of Revealing Light before it only trapped the monster that were on the field of it activation, now it traps the opponents monster for 3 turns
