  • Is there any way to have 2 screens (one regular and one touch) displaying the exact same screen? So I can use touch when I want to, and regular when I dont need touch, but rather a big, nice screen?

  • doesn't the 6:59min part of the video, if u do it to much it will out of range your computer

  • why did you need two nic cards with the one bult in?

  • ok i need help

  • Thanks a lot. That was a very good tutorial

  • Ok... this stuff is siimple... but how would you configure ure screens so that they are like independant pc's with their own taskbars and icons! I want to be able to open the start function on both pc's!

  • @TheElwall I dont think that is possible..natively though some special software could do it.

  • bye a new computer... lol

    jk

    you caant i have tried

  • hi how will use my lcd projector if i want to use it as my secondary monitor.. thank you

  • What is it? LCD projector? I suppose you mean normal projector. It's basically the same as with monitors...

  • can you guys do one on linking flat panel tv's thanks

  • I get as far as 8:10. I can get my mouse to go to my other monitor, but I can't open a program or watch anything. Settings or options I imagine but..

  • second monitor doubles your workspace, but only desktop! You can drag windows between two monitors and also your icons there. So if you want to run programs from other monitor, just copy some icons to it. You can also install utilities (such as UltraMon) which will add taskbar also to second screen.

  • Thx, I copied icons but when I opened them, they opened in my 19, instead of my 46, where I dragged them and double clicked them. Thanks anyway. I only have XP and an Nvidia 7300 GT 256. I think I need Wind 7 and new hardware. Peace.I will chk UltraMon though. Thx again.

  • No problem. This issue (if we call it issue) is pretty normal. You can drag'n'drop windows between monitors or-after installing UltraMon or silimar software- You can right click on window caption and click on option move to another monitor.

  • How do you get the nr 1 and 2 in the display settings got windows xp but dont got it and got 2 screens now but they show the same things but i want to have ´1 that like have a movie on it and i can play on the other if you know what i mean (please help )

  • thx for sharing

  • hey when you first start the comp and you go to that menu @ 3:05, is that really necessary?

  • It was helpful for me, is your comment really necessary, that's how you treat a guy who's tryin to help people? Merry Christmas

  • nerd

  • thanx bro me ayudo muchisimooo gracias

  • u dont need 2 vidoe cards u need just 1 vidoe card that has 2 DVi port

  • This is just the video that I have been looking for. Great Video.

  • what would happen if u only have 1 slot but u use a splitter to connect both monitors

  • Very Helpful!!

  • Would I be able to do this with a laptop with a VGA (blue) connection. And a Samsung 17" TFT LCD monitior? My laptop has a ATI Radeon Express 1100 - which has an option to "extend my desktop" ?

  • I like this guy.......thanks for helping us

  • nice tutorial

  • I have a laptop and I'd want to know if it is possible to plug a monitor in the Standard monitor output and my TV using the S-video output and make them work at the same time (with windows XP) I'm only able to make one of them work, and I'd like to have both working at the same time. Does anyone have a clue please?

  • I have 3 computers I got at the same time, All XP and the very same model. But, there's one that doesn't work and I want to add a second monitor to my personal one. So, I can just take the old video card out of the other computer that's not being used and add it onto my own with no problems, then just install everything that was showed on this video and that's all? Thanks........... =)

  • Thanks a lot!! great vdo

  • how do you stretch out the tool bar on the bottom so it shows out stretched on both monitors?

  • your video has helped me alot and i managed to do this task on my own so i would like to thank you

  • i have two monitors both 1080p (1980x1080) my video card's max resolution is something like 2500 x 1500 does that mean with both monitors it will be 3960x1080 or my video card will not support it?

Nice video also easy to understand :)

  • i have that computer and i hate it

  • Usually.i tried it sevral times but its driver is not detected so i just use a ati video card that is agp 4x and i have a pci video card that is from 1997

  • A brief monitor question, if anyone can answer it:

    I currently have a 17" laptop running @ 1440x900

If I buy a 22" monitor @ 1680x1050 and try to dual screen with my laptop (extend my desktop) will windows get messed up as I drag them across?

What is your reccomendation for dual monitors at different resolutions?

    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks

    ::MKB::

  • if by messed up you mean change the size of the windows then no. But if you mean change colors it would depend on the quality of the laptop monitor in comparison to the 22"

  • lol i bougth an old video card radeon 7000

    for only 20 dollar

  • THe old video card that you installed only went up to 800x600 lol.. EPIC FAILURE

  • Erm yes you can have a start bar on tjhe other screen, but i dont think you can have two screens, i use vista for this. Pritty simple, just unlock you start bar and drag over to other screen. =]

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE THE ''START'' button over boths sreens?

  • great work it help me a lot

  • wonderfull work, keep the work continuing

  • Thank you for a very helpful and clear tutorial!

  • Very helpful thanks a lot for this. Will be setting up a 2nd monitor very soon.

  • u have the same monitor as me lolz

  • was a great help to me, planning on setting up multiple monitors today!

  • damn ! nice pc! i bet it can maxed out crysis easily ;)

  • Thanks....much appreciated

  • thank you man,it helped me a lot

  • Thank you very much man, it helped me alot!

keep up the good video and well explained production!

  • Thanks for the great videos.

I have a NVIDIA card and the fan stopped working and its running hot. About 90 degrees. Is it okay to keep using it? Or would it be a fire danger?

  • I don't have the 1 and 2

  • Then your second video card may not be installed properly. Verify in the Device Manager that the second video card is installed and a device driver is installed and functioning.

  • nice videos keep em coming

  • How did he get an old Trident PCI card to work for Windows XP?

I used an old trident PCI card and I have XP, but my computer didnt even see it. It wouldn't even allow me to install the drivers.

  • There are many different Trident cards. This one happens to be supported in Windows XP. It is a Trident Video Accelerator 96XX/938X.

  • Thanks man! Thats probably why mine didn't work. I used a really old Trident card that only supported Windows 98 and NT

  • I need help. I installed a 2nd PCI card into my computer today, but windows xp isn't detecting anything. I want to hook up 2 monitors, but only one monitor shows up. How do I fix this?

  • Verify in the Device Manager that the second video card is installed and a device driver is installed and functioning. You may need to do some configuration in the BIOS/CMOS to get it to work. On some of my computers I have to set the on-board video as the primary card. Some I have to set the PCI card as the primary. It may take some trial and error.

  • Question: Will this work for a typical laptop (specifically, a Dell Inspiron 710m), using both the built-in LCD and external monitor port?

  • Yes, it should. You may need to make some configuration changes and/or use the Fn/display keys on your laptop to find the right setting. See the owners manual. On my Dell 600 laptop it works fine w/o too much configuration. I just plug in the 2nd monitor and press the Fn/Display key and set the "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor..." option

  • dual moniters rock

  • just buy a dvi adaptor instead on installing a new video card

  • thanks

  • carnt u make the 2 screens do the same thing that u are doing so they have the same thing on

  • yes, you can do that, you can mirror one of your screen (usually your primary one) try googling for mirroring a desktop ;)

  • heess goooood :D

  • Cool video, It was really helful and Well presented

  • Great clear explanation. Thanks a ton to the dude in the video. :-)

  • I never done that before, it looks cool!

imagine using it on like 5 monitors..

  • if ur computer can support 5 video cards, ports, connectors, and power.

its not as simple as u think

  • Quick question:

Do you like your monitors? I was thinking about getting that same model on monitor.

  • I like the "standard" shape monitors. I am not a fan of the "wide screen" monitors. I work mostly with Word/Excel/Adobe documents. With the wide screen monitors there is to much real estate side to side and not enough up and down. I'd rather have a standard 17" LCD than say a 19" wide screen. I don't watch movies on my computer so wide screen seems like a waste.

  • ty :P you rock

  • ahh thanks ^^

  • I'am so doing this this summer

  • Thanks alot, you gave me the idea of going fetch the old video cord off my old cpu. and nice guide =D
