Wow! just like hearing an obscure Hank tune after decades of loving all the hits, I am even more impressed. One, the "lesser" tune actually goes toe to toe with the great classics. Secondly, back in the day, they "threw back" songs that were higher quality than at least 95 percent of "modern country" ! You tube is amazing, great art is only a few clicks away.
@grannydyess Yes it was new to me as well. I thought I was pretty up on Marty's work but its nice to find one that I hadn't heard. His voice always gave me chills and still does. Ahh Marrty you left us way to soon RIP! Thanks for posting the video.
This "lost" treasure sounds great as the legendary King of the Cowboy ballads, Mr. Marty Robbins sings another great country song that showcases his unique
Jim is the name of the person in the song. Marty had a liking for the name 'Jim' or 'Jimmy' as in his songs 'Jimmy Martinez', 'Jimmy And Me' and the lyric in 'The Cowboy In TheContinental Suit' which goes 'I turned around to look at Jim and he was watching me.'
this is one of my favorites by Marty Robbins --- thanks for sharing

@tarquin45 Thanks for all you do to keep my all time favorite singers memory alive.
I got to see 5 concerts and wish it could have been 50.
There is a song by Marty I can't fine. Not sure but title may be Franklin Tenessee.
do you have it?

Very wonderful song which Marty passed away and after 10 years released by Ronny.
By my English ability, it doesn't find the meaning of "Jim" of this title well still now.
Will it person's name or other mean?
For example, it's like the Jeans?
