Just read your book, and it was a very good read. My life kinda parallel yours (African American with African name, growing up with Grandmother, etc), and it's good to see you doing your thang!
your book is so inspiring for people who live in hoods, but dont really want to be a part of the lifestyle. I have read your book 5 times and i am still loving it. Great!
Mr. Ejovi Nuwere, I just finished with your book this week, I must tell you it was a delightful read. It actually made me regret not pursuing computer security and Linux when I finished high school (the arrest of Mr. Sklyarov, at Defcon, scared me off from -- not that I regret Electrical Engineering). I really, really, loved the last few paragraphs: they made me realize that I, too, am part of a team that depends on me; not just an outsider who gets jobs done. That was a tremendous moral boost.
Ejovi, I saw your book while randomly looking at the computer book section in the library (Neptune, NJ) and I enjoyed reading through it. It brought back a lot of memories of using AOL in the early days of the internet, the chat rooms, the hacking stuff. Unfortunately I never got as far as you did with it.
Do you still have your blog? Didn't you do security for banks for a long time? I first saw you on CSPAN speaking with inmates. It was fascinating. You are great. Wish you were more exposed in more venues for black kids and all kids to see what can be.
Nice interview i like it! Right now you must be very famous person ;p Ejovi .. your book 'hacker cracker' is it available to download on the internet? Cheers
