You play as him testing out his new powers and escaping the mansion before it blows up. It also has a scenario where he takes down umbrella in Russia explaining how he had umbrella control during RE:4

The difference between the two is that wesker can only keep up his superhuman speed for a short burst of time while the same speed is virgil's natural speed. Also keep in mind that Virgil can change into demon mode

@Lightning5182 Cliche as it would be, I *have* thought that it might be badass to see Wesker use a sword sometime. I think the best fit would be some high-tech blade like Raiden uses in MGS4. Combined with Wesker's speed, that would be INSANE ownage. Plus, his swordsmanship would likely follow the same line as his martial arts; an amalgam of various techniques from around the world, utilizing only what's effective with none of the pointless "theatrical" stuff.
