i had this tv and returned it. it's terrible can not show 1+ shadow detail. this D8000 also has terrible screen uniformity the LED's are placed only on the sides (left and right )of the television, the outer thirds (66%)of the television have awful performance. this is tv is so bad dont your waste money on this junk. this tv's dims only rows of the panel

(remember the leds are on the sides) and there's only like 5 rows or so as soon as anything appears anywhere in a row the whole row glows.

I've owned this TV for about a month. It is awesome. Also just wanted to say to ppl, this TV comes with a built-in wireless card. If he had turned it on it's the 1st thing to set-up. The only thing that sucks about this TV is the slow browser and none "universal" remote. Otherwise the picture is so awesome whites are pure and black is so black you sometimes think the TV is off (no joke). Micro dimming rules. The best way to mount the floor stand is to put the TV on a bed.

WOW, you are making these unboxings of big TVs so much harder than they need to be. When opening the box you aren't supposed to cut open the top, you are supposed to remove the plastic clips at the bottom on each side and lift the box off. It make it so much easier to open and remove the TV and its accesories that way.

@surajr1711 People generally sit further away from TV's, so pixel density is much less of an issue than with computer monitors. If you sat as close to your TV as you would to your monitor when watching it, it would look horrible :)

@sokrutu Yea. i agree. But i don't think the 3D in this TV needs any graphics power. As linus said, an onboard processor converts 2D to 3D real time. So the graphics card won't be used for 3D rendering. I guess it's not like Nvidia 3D vision....
