This is a song that really touches my heart! On the one hand, it brings back happy memories of my youth, and my parents who are no longer here, and on the other, now, being older, the words are just so poignant and beautiful. Slow down and see the colour of the wind. The Kinks were up with the best of them but over-shadowed by the Fab 4 and the Stones. Their music is geographical (time and place) - it is British, especially Waterloo Sunset. I agree, Ray Davies is a genius.
