@BAJARACER43X I'm caught in the middle. I've seen her other videos, most notably Joe Satriani's "Always with me" and I can see that she's fingering the lead closely, if not exactly. On the other hand, it is clear that distortion aside (could be hidden), there is definitely a wah peddle that I do not see. However, on most TV shows, acts are pre-recorded. From what I've seen of her, I believe that it is *her* playing, though maybe pre-recorded.

The kid in that is just running through some blues scales with some standard rhythms and playing is sloppy, but that kid has some style (and thats what you call soul). Dont judge a book by the cover, asians might be playing without any facial expression but the music that comes out is kinda good. You can try listening to the music alone from both the videos and this 1 is definitely better than the other one.

Not just shredding. Schenker is very melodic. Not so much a shredder. Playing melodic is much more broad than just ripping thru scales as most shredders do.
