Fishermen, hotel, diners, all aspects of workers will not have money because of jobs lost from the spill. This will create economy turmoil for the next 20 or 30 years. @LoneTinaja I'm in the oil business, and I challenge your facts. There are vast near shore reservoirs, esp. near Florida, that are off the table due to environmental concerns. Ironically, as you probably know, these resources could be tapped with far less risk than deepwater wells.

So far, the federal response has been a hindrance, not a help in the oil containment and cleanup. Obama should look to the governors of Louisiana and Mississippi to get a clue on taking action in a time of crisis.

What about all the people on the gulf coast? They will not have jobs soon because of the spill. Fishermen, hotel, diners, all aspects of workers will not have money because of jobs lost from the spill. This will create economy turmoil for the next 20 or 30 years. Yet Obama has not done a thing to stop the leak.

Wait wait wait wait. What I don't understand is what you want him to do about it. The main is a representative, not an ecologist. What he can do is hire ecologist to fix the problem itself, as I know he can't magically make the oil go away. Also, how is it that so many people demand him to do something about the oil spill when people can't get out of their homes, and do something about it themselves. That's kind of a spit in the face for the people who have their hands in oil right now.

He says he is sayings prayers about the destruction the spill will cause. Whatever prayers he may say or said he will say (not likely Muslimism) will not fix the economy over the next 20 to 30 years.

Day 72 after 8 weeks of EPA,Gov obstruction, Coast Guard safety inspections Looks like we may finally get our skimmers and booms and containment gear in the water by working directly with the Parrishes and local goverment. We have lots of Trawlers ready to work. When I tell you this administraion has done a great job in delaying clean up.
