Zakk used a simpler scale and less notes, so I don't see how it's such a masterpiece. As for the gay comment, I'm sure Randy got with 10x more women than you will ever, which probably isn't saying much.

I love Jake, I think he's a great guitarist, but he DOES NOT MATCH RANDY. Randy had an uncanny ability to play in so many odd yet amazing styles, like neoclassical. He could put funky scales like the Hungarian minor into masterpiece solos along with a jumble of other scales. Jake is extremely talented, but I'd say Randy was 50 times better.

I love Jake, I think he's a great guitarist, but he DOES NOT MATCH RANDY. Randy had an uncanny ability to play in so many odd yet amazing styles, like neoclassical. He could put funky scales like the Hungarian minor into masterpiece solos along with a jumble of other scales. Jake is extremely talented, but I'd say Randy was 50 times better.

ffs, why is everyone arguing? Most great rock guitaists show off, yeah, because a lead guitarist is the big icon, they are the ones that are supposed to be amazing at the front of the stage, that doesn't mean they can't have fun with the rest of the band aswell. Just look at Jimmy Page, yeah he was a bit of a show off, but he was a brilliant guitarist, & all he liked to do was have fun with the rest of the band.

Actually, I think that's his fake Gibson. He said in Guitar One or Guitar World, can't remember, he never had a Gibson for a long time because they were too expensive and his friend put the logo from Gibson strings on the headstock and was the most popular kid around town cuz everyone thought it was real.

If you have BLS on your myspace, if you even have one, he put the song New Religion up the day after a comment I put up; I read in the same magazzine mentioned above, his favorite solo is NOT Mama I'm Comin' Home, like everyone else's favorite is, his is in fact the solo from New Religion, and I told him "you've done enough for the fans, do something for yourself, put up New Religion!" next day, it was up. I felt good, and still feel a bit proud lol
