  • Quel jolie voix.cela promet.qurl.legerete.

  • I like that comment someone made that she should get a part in a Jane Austen picture; She has that kind of personna.A classic, pure style about her.A good look, beautiful voice-gifted and talented. You want her to develop into one of the worlds best.Good work,Margaret!!

  • I have to admit I came to this because I thought she was really pretty!

  • You're a babe. and your voice is really pure. But you're WAYYY to happy for this song. haha something tells me you're always nice and that you smile/laugh at everything. In this song, your lover just left, and your feeling lost and you're practically torturing yourself. If you add that element in there, than you're gonna get some people to tear up. Oh, and in the very beginning (O, Del Mio Amato ben,...etc) in this verse and the same spot of the second verse is when your breathe is noticed.

  • she is a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice - but it is obvious that she has no idea what she is singing about. still, it's lovely to listen to and i don't think she takes it too fast at all. this is very helpful when learning the piece :)

  • Beautiful. But where's the passion?

  • why so fast?

  • @ThePlanetchild - I agree with you it is too fast. and I keep thinking Margaret is rushed - I wonder if the accompanist had the lyrics avaiilable? The song is a lot harder to sing that it might seem to begin with and rushing it is worse. all I'd say is: Margaret listen to everyone who sang it and see if the song fits you and then figure out how you would like to interpret it. You've got a nice voice..I hope you're doing well - Rosa Ponselle's version is rather good too ;)

  • What a young, beautiful sounding voice. I love it!

  • Margaret has a kind of "Elizabethan" quality to her voice - except with vibrato. Reminds me a little of Mary Hopkins, who sang with the Beatles, and still more like Hayley Westernra, who sings with Celtic Women, I believe. There is a haunting purity in the timbre of Margaret's voice. Perhaps her penchant is for singing from the genre of the religious, or balladic. I'd love to hear her sing Rossini or Vivaldi - for technical merit. Still - grateful if she became a J.S. Bach specialist.

  • beautiful!

  • GREAT MUSIC I LIKE IT

  • My singing teacher gave me Donaudy´s music sheet as a kind of homework. I have to confess that I did not hear his play never before, so I look for a performance that could not be criticized; I chose Pavarotti' s one (I´m a tenor) but, nevertheless, the "teacher" got angered because in her dogmatic mindset the only acceptable performance was Claudia Muzio´s one. I ve heard Muzio´s play and I shall only say: Windler is remarkable. I can not understand why Margaret Windler is not well known yet.

  • @Rodolfomorello1965 Dude, If your singing teachers insists there is only one version of a song and a Soprano's version of that for a tenor! Get a new teacher. I have no idea what your voice is like but there a quite a few tenors who sang this that might suit. Gigli and Pavarotti are but two. As for Claudia? She had a gorgeous voice but seems to me to be emotionally flat. There was a slight melancholy about her voice but she never shifted out of the 'poor little me' territory.

  • gave me chills :)

good music is such an amazing thing i wish everyone could have the chance to enjoy

  • wow that was sooo beautiful... made me cry a little. I love your voice and i hope that wherever you are, you are continuing your music career! thank you!

  • she is so beautiful!!!! <3 and she sings very well

  • Die Hälfte der Stimme geht verloren durch zu viel fließende Luft.

Deshalb fällt Ihr die Höhe auch so schwer. Die Stimmbänder schließen nicht.

  • A flat

  • Very lovely :)

  • what key is this in?

  • @candyXkyo Ab major I suppose...

  • linda voz pero aun le falta trabajarla !!!

  • @performingfreak8: Words like "mio" and "tuo" are actually two-syllable words, wth the stress placed on the first vowel, so it is correct to emphasize the "i" in "mio." I was taught the other way for a while as well, but in spoken Italian one never goes straight to the "o," so it makes no sense to do it in sung Italian.

  • performingfreak8, you are so wrong about "mio." It's MI-o and LU-i. There are i's that are used more like y's and that are very quick but not all i's do that. And people need to stop trying to correct her Italian--she took Italian Diction with the Pfrim so she knows what's up in that regard. Beautiful job, Maggie. I just searched this song because it's so beautiful and I wanted to listen to it, and to my surprise I find this video. What a treat!

  • Also, why did you pronounce "lei" as [loo-ee]. I've always heard [lay-ee], even from Pavarotti...I'm not sure.

Anyways, you have a beautiful voice, and you should keep singing! :D

  • @performingfreak8 She's singing "lui" because she's a girl singing about a guy, not a guy singing about a girl.

  • @performingfreak8 Because even in the score they allow changes between masculine and feminine lei -- her lui -- him :) It'd be odd, for that time period at least (unless if she were in a pants role), if she was speaking of her female lover.

  • "E il pianger m'e" should be more of a glory note to show of your voice and make everyone melt! Really milk that m'e for all it's worth! Same with "mi par co-si", really emphasize on that -si. Also, show in your face the heartbreak...you showed "I'm singing a pretty song"...that doesn't quite work.

Also, this may be up to preference, but I've been taught that generally in Italian you go straight to the second vowel (mio-go straight to the "o" instead of holding the "i").

  • Ha yeah...she looks very happy for a girl who lost her beloved one.

    But who cares!!!...I Looove her!

    Beautiful!

  • Hi again, Gorgeous singing, heavenly and angelic! Thank you for posting, so beautiful.

May I suggest, stanze is pronounced with a TS stant-se. Check the IPA. You can buy the IPA in book form from Leyerle Publications, for Opera check Nico Castel series, all operas translated with IPA. Or for single songs, check IPA sourse.

A fine point, would be to distinguish your closed and open e vowels. E.g. mio ben, is open.

    Bravissima!!!

  • That was really great! :D

However, this song is supposed to be about the "ultimate heartbreak."

It seems like the emotion of the piece hasn't really registered yet because your facial expressions are too..tranquil.

i just feel that it would sound a thousand times better if you were to really feel the meaning of the song.

  • Beautifull. Slow the tempi a bit so you can "sing the words "

  • OMg, it sounds great and the video is just amazing!

  • Are you from italy?Wow~Beautiful!

  • charming... soul... good

  • complimenti!

  • this has helped me learn this song! every time i hear her sing it i wanna practice! thank you so much for posting this! she has a beautiful voice!

  • Yes! I Was thinking the same thing... You Look Just Like Julia Stiles! Beautiful Job, by the way! such a lovely voice!

  • ¡Un angelo di Dio! Where study?¡please more videos!

  • Anyone else think the talented Ms. Windler looks remarkably like actress Julia Stiles of Bourne Ultimatum fame?

  • beautiful in every way <3

  • OMG! I love you!!

  • Your tone is simply perfect!

    This is beautiful.

    Very skillful.
