  • Aaah. All the R-rated movies I watched as an 8-year-old started with this. The memories. Where can I find a higher resolution version of this?

  • This was my favorite intro on HBO, of all their 1980's & 1990's intro's. I've had HBO since 1980 (32 years) and I live for this 1982 intro. I sometimes looked forward to seeing this exact intro, more than seeing the movie that followed it. Thanks for posting this......... :))

  • Sat night new movie. This has to be the best bumper ever. So much effort put into it.

  • God I miss those youthful days of being a kid when life offered so much hope, mystery and promise. Seeing this (over and over again) made me miss such days. Two thumbs way up!

  • After watching this epic piece of nostaliga I think we can all agree this is one of those very rare moments when a man is allowed to cry.

  • dame is all I have to say I agree with a few of you is that when they played this intro you knew the movie was goin to be kick azz. I miss the old days

  • nothing like the 80's baby! love it.....

  • This used to scare the hell out of me when I was smaller; it was a combination of the ominous music and the ominous entrance of the HBO logo. Looking at it once again today, I can see how it was pretty cool for its time, and of course it no longer scares the life outta me. Thumbs-up if this Feature Presentation intro scared the wits outta you back in the day.

  • So this intro started when I was 1 and lasted all the way until 1999 when I was 18. I remember this when I watching HBO one night and was like holy shit! This HBO is still airing. It shocked me!

  • I love it! Life before and after PAX TV the world's most mediocre and mind-bogglingly boring tv stations on earth which went off the aire on July 2005 and eventually faded away while HBO especially classic HBO lives on!

  • I loved this intro as a kid. You always knew a badass movie was coming on when they had this intro play

  • @bigdoublej74 imagine seeing this badass intro again after so many years only to find out the movie coming on is the Justin Bieber story.

  • This is my favorite HBO Feature Presentation of all time.

  • AWESOME

  • Sometimes they would show this five minute film that explained how they made that intro.

  • @bettyfelon1 Was really cool to see the town models and all the moving cars, lights and whatnot... especially for a little kid, like I was at the time.

  • @bettyfelon1 wow, i remember seeing that, with all of those miniatures...

  • @FunkyWitDaSysTm You can find that film if you go to "HBO Intro-Behind The Scenes". Ah...the good old days...
