not quite sure why there are more dislikes than likes
he obviously has pretty advanced hand technique, even though ofc it's not clearly visible but even if the sound is not the best it's still clear that he's one hell of a marching drummer
Good job. Your drum just sounds like shit.. Change the heads, tune the guts, and tune it a little lower and you're drum will sound AMAZING!! Unless your instructor likes the way he tuned... Oh well. Good job
Excellent drumming here, albeit beset by audio/video-equipment limitations. Cameras don't always capture the sticks due to frame-rate issues, and the microphone got only part of the snare drum's tone.
if it sucks so bad then dont watch it you stupid fucks, sorry i was a freshman in highschool not a professional. Eat shit you immature fucks and get a life.
how can you judge his skill off a video with shit quality, and a video they did just for fun. this dude was better than all of you when he was in middle school. he's got a video of him doing it at contest if you would rather try and find something wrong there. dont hate just cuz you suck.
@jbndchris dude obviously he hasnt played this solo in a while and you cant judge a persons off of poor quality camera and besides this was for fun. yes i agree he did mess up a bit but who cares its not like he was competing and he did quite well for playing by memory
instead of watching the stick movement, watch the hand movement. Your grip changes according to the amount of beats one hand is doing as apose to the other. Also watch the height of the stick and arm as apose to the sound. This video is legit.
I don't think that this is realy you playing because I have quick eyes and sharp hearing and i could see that you missed a couple of beats when the sound was still going, although, the picture isn't that good quality, so i may be mistaken. If i am, good job!
I played this for solo and ensemble my senior year and went all the way to state with it, yet I did not play it at the prescribed 140 bpm's. As a matter of fact, I have yet to hear anyone play that fast. The first to post a legit vid, not something sped up, of them playing this solo at Markovitch's written 140 bpm, I will buy them a pair of sticks. If they do it on an old school snare, I'll throw in a reelfeel.
even with the shit quality it sounded pretty dope to me. lol.

A lot of videos on youtube have a little audio-video lag. It's no big deal, really, it's just Youtube's crappy hosting.
Suyado 2 years ago 8
@Suyado Crappy hosting? I'm pretty sure handling 25 HOURS of video being uploaded every MINUTE is not "crappy hosting"
