@datzvietxnxmze13 you're welcome. i've implemented the sampras running forehand into my game. notice how sampras steps with his LEFT foot when he hits the ball
yea. good insight. now im trying to implement djokovic's running backhand into my game. so much power he generates from that side and its beautiful to see
@prestige705 and that's why they'll have an infinite more amount of grand slams than you'll ever have... because your strokes compared to theirs look far more shittier
People dont remember this, just the old man 1 1/2 step slower with a choppy game built around a great serve and no art nothing. Pete in his prime was the most unbelievable all courter, he had no choice but to become more pure SV player he wouldnt have lasted had he not, he wouldnt have all those wimbledon titles either, its just the generation he grew up in very unlucky
I think that after he was diagnosed with thalassaemia in '96 he changed his game to pure attack. This exploited his athletic ability while keeping the points short. My impression is that he stayed back a lot more prior to 1997 (though I have not compiled a statistic to this effect).
@Hypnos7 I actually believed it was 96 as a whole. twice he was completley blasted off the court. Aussie Open sure he wasnt that sharp but he was just hit off the court by the poo from the baseline in particular which was the biggest reason for the loss he stayed back and fought him power for power. Wimbledon it was Krajiceks net rushing that killed him, he said himself I couldnt stop him there was nothing i could do. Then 96 USO a clay courter troubled him most at USo and the thalessemia yes
does anyone know what grip sampras uses for his running forehand?

To you guys commenting on Agassi's serve, he had ungergone a wrist surgery that year if my memory serves me well, hence the action.

Agassi's serve is like basic service. FAIL. and Sampras's fore hand is really ugly too

It's not the best decision to show some great running forehands based on 1 match vs an injured Agassi.

Agassi's serve is ugly. Good thing he fixed it later on in his career.

It served him well -- except at Roland Garros.
