The guitar is a $200 yamaha that was given to me by a good friend. I did re-string it with Martin light gauge strings. The guitar's fretboard is brillitant. The frets are smooth and broad on top so you can easily make each note sing with full clarity. I hold this guitar in the same regards as I did my first which was a 1970 Sigma (japanese Martin) Great sound, Great playability and since its only $200 you dont have to be reluctant to take it out and beat it up. 3 out of 5.
Its not very loud because the resonance chamber is, as you can see, only as big as the body, but anyone standing within 15 feet should be able to hear it fine... I liked this guitar, but its a little awkward and difficult to hold and play. Its SO light, when you slide your hand on the neck, the whole guitar moves... I've since gotten rid of this guitar, but it was pretty cool and it got me noticed wherever I took it, so for college it might work out.
yup the neck weighs a ton compared to the body... plus its really awkward to hold it on your knee since its so puny. Really not an ergonomic design... it was a novel idea, but I've gotten rid of this little guitar and bought another full-size yamaha

I wish I knew how to record a video with JUST audio... where you just have a picture of something and its just audio... the nI would record my entire collection of songs... because most of them are just instrumental type pieces without words
if you could hear them, you'd understand why they dont have words... partly because I suck at making lyrics, and partly because they're so damn crazy sounding its like, "How could i sing to this???" LOL

How was the playablity ?
did you ever change out the strings ... maybe a light guage, volume would go down but might be easier to play ???
