  • Marriage in the Christian tradition held an ambiguous position . Most Early Christians believed that it was best to not become married; but, believed that if they did, they did not sin, as Paul overruled in 1Cor. 7:28 & Heb. 13:3-4. Paul talks along with Jesus in 1Tim. 5:11,13, then overrules Him it in verse 14. Jesus and His Disciples directly stated in Matt. 19:10-12 that “it is not good to marry.” Indeed , those writers of gospels were reluctant and each give a unclear and unlogical words!

    thanks for uploading!

  • Why are we punished for being created? Why do we suffer for what others have done? I honor those who sacrifice there life to be liberated from this one, but i cant help thinking why we must suffer so. I love Christ and believe the Orthodox presents the true expression of Christ. Its a shame many of us fall short of the teachings but we must be thankful of the prayers from the Holy ones

  • @Shorinji888 i can explain it to you if you would like. Its actually very simple!

  • @Shorinji888 We are not punished for being created. God said you will surely die when he banished Adam and Eve from the Garden. He did not say I will kill you. We "suffer for what Adam did" idea is wrong. Orthodoxy doesnt not believe in Original Sin. Orthodxy believes in Ancesteral Sin. Aside from these points, the church teaches us that suffering is needed for salvation.

  • A Greek priest I know, who used to live on Mt. Athos for a time, moved to America (where he was ordained). While this priest was on Mt. Athos, a monk asked him if he would like to follow him and "go to school". The yet to be priest agreed, and the monk took him to the cemetery. The man was shocked and asked the monk why he went to the cemetery. The monk replied, "because everytime I come to the cemetery and see the bones, I'm reminded that this will be my fate someday." What a lesson.

  • The orthodox way is the only one.

    Why?

The copts, the armenian broke from the church around V sec.

In 1054 the catholic church broke from the Orthodox one.

In 1518 from the catholic church broke the protestants.

From the protestans broke the anglicans and so on.

After this around XVII sen. appears the baptist church..

    And so on...

In conlucion, the Orthodox church is the only one.

    Doamne ajuta.

  • ai dreptate, nu coincid versetele din Codex Sinaiticus cu cele din Bibliile pocăite, dar coincid cu cele din Biblia Ortodoxă!

you are right, not the same verses of the Codex Sinaiticus with penitent of Bibles, but coincide with the ortodox Bible! And Psalm 50 is David's in Codex Sinaiticus and orthodox Bible!!!

  • Not really, bitterice. The Orthodox and Catholic churches excommunicated each other. Those excommunications have since been removed. Both are the only valid ways to God.

  • Then come to orthodoxy.

  • Thank you, but no. Roma Invictus.

  • Sa-ti lumineze Dumnezeu mintea !

  • i am copt and we do not accep this

  • i so sory for you

  • to "theking9412",

What precisely is it about this picture and this music that you do not accept?

I know that you might not accept Hesychasticism but I KNOW that Copts believe in Monasticism.

Is it just that you don't accept ANYthing Byzantine? Orthodoxy received Monasticism from Antony and Pachomius of Egypt.

I'm an Anglican and I envy both Copts and Orthodox.

  • 34. And calling the crowd Himself with His disciples, he said: Whoever wishes to come after me to lepede self, to take the cross and follow Me Wed. Mark Chapter 8
