Okay so:

When you color, it must be on a different layer.

Then, you just erase what's outside of the black lines.

But, it just looks so difficult to get so close to the lines without.. OHH. Wait!? You can't erase the black lines because they're still on the other .. layer... My goodness, I've figured it out!
