I must admit, the song started out very dead and I was fairly disappointed. However, as the spirit of God started to manifest itself (this tends to happen if you start to talk about the Holy Spirit), it became clear that there was a move of God taking place in the sanctuary.
The congregation was not dead at all...you must not have watched the entire video - I loved it - even showed my son the young man running across the altar...dancing and jumping (I want him to praise more and I use this video as an example). Those few people in the beginning was not the tone of that congregation at all.
@rozeannereid The whole congregation isn't dead actually. The dead part that you saw was a group of homeless people from downtown memphis that we brought in for the special service. Most of them just wanted to be in air conditioning so they just sat there and slept or something. Still not sure why the cameraman even panned over that. It looks really dumb.
@melovesme19 Do I detect a bit of sarcasim? In that case you just proved my point they were bored out of their minds, are you kidding me i've seen black choirs sing this song and it was HOTT, I mean glorifying god is number 1 but you have to sound good doing it. :-)
@DivaMCFan I just said to take a look at the 'lively' black people lol...and this choir sounds good! And maybe not all of the people are worshiping, but there are people in the choir that are worshiping God and bringing praise to Him. Even in black choirs they may 'get into it' but only God knows who is truely worshipping Him!

I wasn't in the mood to dispute this so I didn't say anything...but @divamcfan there are definitely some white people up there jumping and worshipping, etc. Not saying black people couldn't have more life, but I would definitely say there is life up there...oh and the black people in the balcony were brought from to from a school bus from downtown Memphis, so most of them just came to be in a cooled area. but hey, you can still minister to em eh? lol

@DivaMCFan you weren't dissing their singing, you were dissing their worship...they don't sound bad at all...you said originally that they need to sound good. They do. Attacking someone else's worship to God is entirely different from attacking their singing. I am defending both. THEIR SINGING SOUNDS GOOD AND THEIR WORSHIP TO GOD IS THEIR BUSINESS, NOT ANYONE ELSES. You can judge their singing all you want to, but are crossing a line when you judge their worship to God.

this was our service, Last sunday, our pastor brought out a big thing of water, Man i took a sip of it and God flooded me with the Holy Ghost, Praise the Lord for His living water , Amen!!
son you should have been there. we were already holy ghost filed but God topped us off again. and any one who came and had a drink of that water for that service God did something special with those people. He poured out his spirit on them.
the water itself was just simbolic. to the living water the preacher preached on. does that make since.
Ok, i was just going to say, the Holy Ghost in me is God given spirit by evidence of speaking in tounges, I didnt know if you guys were talking about some kind of crazy sprikling man made religion routine or something!!!
I remember when we did song at my church, I think I seriously damaged my hand from clapping to hard BUT IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
