Actually, I think that doing another dreamcast would be a suicide for SEGA. I do blame them for saying NO to another console... I blame them for betraying million of fan in 2001, cause I was actually getting a big collection and was aware that the DC (Not sega, but the DC, while they were suffering of their earlier error) wasnt in deficit, actually the console did better score that the GC and xbox in the same period of time of selling. I do blame them for giving up on many liscence too..

Ringedge though is just part of their arcade faction, does not mean they will make a new console. However, hell! i would love to see a new SEGA console. It would really rip some shit up in the market right now, even shake it up. I think people are ready for SEGA again. SEGA have gotta realise their loyal fans like myself are missing the blue blur on a home console. It's disappointing that Shenmue 3 is no where to be seen either....

I'm sorry to dash your hopes but the days of SEGA are gone, SEGA made a lot of blunders after the Genesis/Megadrive such as releasing the 32x just 6 months before the saturn was due to be released....crap games, rushed marketing schemes led SEGA to an impending doom while Nintendo rose to glory.

I actually think Sega could pull off a Dreamcast 2 if they release it at the right time with good features. the only reason it was killed off because Sony added a DVD player in the playstation 2. at the time back then, DVD player's were expensive in Japan so everyone was like, "OMG IMMA BUYING A PS2!!" don't get me wrong though, the ps2 is a great console, but I lost respect for sony after seeing the PS3. The dreamcast was the 360 but several years earlier. I think the 360's controller is an improvement over that design, but thats just technology. Dreamcast was a spectacular system, and tbh did more things than any other console.

Actually, I think that doing another dreamcast would be a suicide for SEGA. I do blame them for saying NO to another console... I blame them for betraying million of fan in 2001, cause I was actually getting a big collection and was aware that the DC (Not sega, but the DC, while they were suffering of their earlier error) wasnt in deficit, actually the console did better score that the GC and xbox in the same period of time of selling. I do blame them for giving up on many liscence too..

Push sega to study the actual market. I'm talking bout stuff like homebrew game 4 dreamcast, big collection, video of that girl painting her wall with shenmue.. At least to get some liscence back on this gen's console.

Ringedge though is just part of their arcade faction, does not mean they will make a new console. However, hell! i would love to see a new SEGA console. It would really rip some shit up in the market right now, even shake it up. I think people are ready for SEGA again. SEGA have gotta realise their loyal fans like myself are missing the blue blur on a home console. It's disappointing that Shenmue 3 is no where to be seen either....

They also have strong contracts now with their old enemy Ninty, Sonic Team's Yugi Naka and Nintendo's Shingeru Miyamoto are good freinds and enjoy both working together on the Wii.

I'm sorry to dash your hopes but the days of SEGA are gone, SEGA made a lot of blunders after the Genesis/Megadrive such as releasing the 32x just 6 months before the saturn was due to be released....crap games, rushed marketing schemes led SEGA to an impending doom while Nintendo rose to glory.
SEGA are doing well as a software agnostic, they are making money, and in business that is the most important thing of course. Sega just dont have the capital for production of a new a machine

The only way sega could make a new console and servie is if one of the console makers were to die off.Problem with consoles is you have to sell around 15 million to make money off it.Which sega failed to do with the saturn or the dreamcast.Both sold under 11million units,

I actually think Sega could pull off a Dreamcast 2 if they release it at the right time with good features. the only reason it was killed off because Sony added a DVD player in the playstation 2. at the time back then, DVD player's were expensive in Japan so everyone was like, "OMG IMMA BUYING A PS2!!" don't get me wrong though, the ps2 is a great console, but I lost respect for sony after seeing the PS3. I actually think Sega is waiting for sony's ps3 to die out before releasing their console

i think people have learned there lesson and realised that sega was a great compony after it was too late, when sony was releasing a good game once evry 2 years,and nintendo was only concentrating on hand helds.i have 40 games on my dreamcast in it's 3 year life span.where as i have 30 games for my ps2 in it's 8 year life span.

i like how i can burn a dreamcast game at any time, but imma have to go with PS2 on this one they had shadow of the coll.,GoW1 n 2,Okami,Jak,Ratchet,KZ,Socom,the getaway,GTA,MGS,n sooo many more but dreamcast also had some great titles so hey they were both awesome its just the DC supporters didnt show up until it was already dead....gotdamn shame!
slap a dvd-player on the DC and it still would compete with PS2 and would have a successor in the works now.

Lol here is a clue get your own money and invest in it yourself. Anyone with half a brain knows a sega console would die hard and fast not only would it have to be better than a traditional console (xbox-maybe ps3- I THINK NOT) but if it were to go a different route it would have to be better than the wii. There is a reason why sega died out. Dreamcast sucked it did terrible and the only real quality exclusive game they had was power stone which wasn't GREAT. Sega is protecting there pockets.

The dreamcast was the 360 but several years earlier. I think the 360's controller is an improvement over that design, but thats just technology. Dreamcast was a spectacular system, and tbh did more things than any other console.
