can anyone explain how the guns upgrade, theres only 1 faq out there and it doesnt explain very well. do they upgrade through general use or as i assume holding that gun on an enemy for a certain amount of bullets or time without missing and it will upgrade or is it through chaining? but it only shows upgrades level for A,B,C onscreen. so what about the other guns, how do i know what level they are on? anyone got a list of how each gun upgrades?

and if ur talking about play it in a real arcade, no way....that's imposible in my country :((

This, in one video, embodies why I love Treasure.

Silhouette Mirage, Alien Soldier and Gunstar Heroes were instant classics for me. I want to get Ikaruga at some point as well. I just wish this game had been released over in the states.

I have to say though, comparing a PS2 game by Treasure: Silpheed The Lost Planet to this is kind of disheartening... Even Ikaruga almost pales in comparison. I wish they'd release games of even half this calibur more often.

Well I guess I'll BE PRAYING for that.

That's because there's no way to up the epicness other than telling the player that they're screwed. Not many final bosses try to make it sound like there's no hope.

Also, notice it says "No Refuge" when the big guy appears.

@OmegaManZX Actually it's alot more fitting than a casual observer would care to think...RSG is a member of the stupidly rare sub-genre: the Shmup/JRPG hybrid. The boss is a fake god, created by the guardian of Earth-the Stone-Like, to crush Baster and Rena, the last Silvergun pilots on a Earth where humanity is gone...if you ever buy the HD version on XBLA, play Story Mode...never has a more deep plot been written, except for maybe Xenogears and Eternal Sonata..

I'd never heard of this before, but it seems like a precursor to a japanese series of games dubbed touhou. probably like 10~25x worse then this battle haha. but for this game I like the sort of melee attacks from it instead of just bang bang bang.

Heh yeah the Sega Saturn was a pretty powerful machine(alot stronger than the PS1 even 3d wise) its just that Sega didnt market or use it to its full potiential. In NA and EU at least. That and it was a little more complicated to program for. Thats why the Dreamcast is alot easier to program for (still without skimping on power).
