Just remember the vet may not always be right, but they gave you the right to express your opinion. I served in Nam, Panama Sa. , Korea, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Just doing my job so you can talk the talk but did you walk the walk. I believe every man should serve his country at least 3 years. I'll stick to living on my houseboat in peace and that all I've ever wanted to do when I retired. Bless all of you. SSG Lance Walker
I was born in 1966. I wasn't a hippy, per say. But when it comes to music, and cartoons? I'll hang on to the old, thank you very much. 97% (and this is a conservative estimate)of music today just doesn't reach me. If you like it, that's great for you. And I won't even go into cartoons. . .I miss you Mel Blanc. And btw, today IS the day that John passed. The world REALLY began to suck after that.
"the old Hippies are now the politicians" ... How foolish. The number of "hippies" (if any) that became politicians is too insignificant to matter.
To classify an entire group of people is what is known as prejudice. Try enjoying the music and refrain from becoming a social critic. What a sad way to look at the world by judging everyone that is in it. Usually the only one left after judging everyone else is your sad lonely self. Try joining the rest of the bozos on the bus.

@utubecenseorstruth Support those men and women by demanding they be sent home where they belong. Vietnam and the current war(s) were and are based on lies and deception, there is no doubt about that. Concerning the politicians, they don't fight these wars and neither do their children; I think they'd be more than willing to cease the conflict if they were thrust into the fight.

@princetonsocks yes I'm very serious. He painted thier tourbus and a mural for them somewhere. They were supposed to come and play this at his funeral but they were in Orlando at the time and couldnt make it up to Dade City in time...
Luv it! I've always admired the Bellamy Bros. music, to say the least. The added imagery was awesome, including John Lennon. I loved the song...but with the images....the song evolved from love, to reverence of the highest order. God Bless our Vietnam vets and old hippies everywhere. Peace.
My dad and step-dad did nam, you wouldnt want to piss them off, I have been to war myself, but nothing like nam and nothing like the spit in your face they got when they came home, you know, were losing 2 great generations at once, the ww2/korea guys and the ones from nam, hats off to those few damn good ones left!, from a disabled vet!
@compman770 amen brother!! My dad served in the navy , Korean war. had friends that served in nam, and they didnt get the welcome home thyt deserved, and the US govt isnt taking care of them these days at all. All the focus is on the Iraq vets and people just tend to forget. But one who never forgets is God the Father, He is our reward in Jesus name. God bless all vets!! My respect
Hmmmmm.... Philippines at Baguio City loves country songs too.... and even me, really brought my country music collections from there to saudi..... Love this song....
Boy this is MY Story for SURE! I worked with/opened up for these guys twice in El Paso Tx. Great bunch, and they played this one for me! I dig it MANNNNNNN! :)

@patrick2969 Amen to that. Pieces of crap back here spitting on them and calling them baby killers sickens me.
utubecenseorstruth 4 months ago
@utubecenseorstruth They should've been spitting on the punk ass politicians that sent those poor children over there in the first place.
shroomraptor 3 months ago
@shroomraptor I may not support a war, but I will support the men and women who fight it.
I agree with you. I would love to see politicians having to fight these messes they cause.
utubecenseorstruth 3 months ago
@utubecenseorstruth Support those men and women by demanding they be sent home where they belong. Vietnam and the current war(s) were and are based on lies and deception, there is no doubt about that. Concerning the politicians, they don't fight these wars and neither do their children; I think they'd be more than willing to cease the conflict if they were thrust into the fight.

Luv it! I've always admired the Bellamy Bros. music, to say the least. The added imagery was awesome, including John Lennon. I loved the song...but with the images....the song evolved from love, to reverence of the highest order. God Bless our Vietnam vets and old hippies everywhere. Peace.

My dad and step-dad did nam, you wouldnt want to piss them off, I have been to war myself, but nothing like nam and nothing like the spit in your face they got when they came home, you know, were losing 2 great generations at once, the ww2/korea guys and the ones from nam, hats off to those few damn good ones left!, from a disabled vet!
compman770 1 year ago 4
@compman770 amen brother!! My dad served in the navy , Korean war. had friends that served in nam, and they didnt get the welcome home thyt deserved, and the US govt isnt taking care of them these days at all. All the focus is on the Iraq vets and people just tend to forget. But one who never forgets is God the Father, He is our reward in Jesus name. God bless all vets!! My respect
