Crap ones: Spiderman 3, daredevil, electra, ghost rider, wolverine, batman returns, batman forever, & batman and robin.

@dimwalker in my opinion she might have been able to pull it off, but the movie itself, no matter who played catwoman it was fucking terrible. sometimes i wonder, after they get halfway through making films like those do they not think, wow this is gunna really fuckin suck, may as well cut our losses and stop filming now

Its not about the time period, its that cap was never black. Sorry. You can get away with the sam jackson/nick fury due to Nick Fury being black in the Ultimate series. Will smith is too large for a comicbook movie. For these characters you need to have the actor fit the role. Did you even watch the video?

Brendan Frasier would've been an alright Eddie Brock because of his looks and body size, and he could pull off playing a chump, at first. But he's done too many comedy roles as of recent for fans to have really bought that, I think.

Your right. And I agree with you about Halle Berry. I think Jessica Alba was horribly miscast as The Invisible Woman. Sue Storm is a really thin, natural blonde woman. Alba isn't a good blonde, and she's curvy. Someone like Gwenyeth Paltrow would've been perfect for that role. Although it goes against the formula, I think the more the celebrity is known for being good-looking, the worse they make as superheroes.
They kept saying "no one thought of Norton or Downey as action/super heroes." Norton played Bruce freakin Banner! He's supposed to be unassuming and a bit geeky, not all beefy or intense(though everyone should know Norton can be crazy intense). And ofcourse Downey was perfectly cast as an alcoholic rich playboy. No question there.

Definitely, I actually saw Ben Affleck for the first time in Armageddon, and Daredevil was a step up. It was a great movie, I thought, and until I saw the Kevin Smith movies, I never understood why Ben was so hated.

Spiderman has been on the Avengers at one point. Not saying I think he'll be in the Avengers movie (Not a chance in hell), but just wanted to point that out. As for the FF and Spidey, they're owned by two different studios, so I doubt Spiderman will be in their movie or vice-versa.

Superhero movies as great "films"...not yet, buddy. Superheroes = blockbusters only. But keep trying! :D Actually, 1st Hulk movie was more of a drama "film" than superhero movie. Lots of great character development, great scripting, etc.

This was great. What's also cool is to see how long actors can hold on to that role. Sometimes, a comic movie breaks when the actors of the roles get replaced. Batman is a great example. But sometimes it works like Batman Begins & Hulk.
ed norton and rdj are great actors. christian bale is also very good as batman. i agree with jcz28. sometimes the movie makes the actor look bad eg catwoman, daredevil, and f4.

It's not always the actor. Most of the time it's the movie that sucks which makes the actor seem like they suck. Like Catwoman or Daredevil, I bet if those movies were good people would be saying how good of a job they did

I agree. Many people (not myself) thought Tobey Maguire was 'too nerdy' to portray Spider-Man before the movie. After the movie however, people loved the choice.
What you say isn't entirely true. While Ghost Rider was a failure to most I thought Nick Cage was nicelt casted as Blaze. I also Gardner played a good Elecktra.
What you just said proved my point! Cage and Gardner were good in those movies but those movies still didn't do good. (I like Ghost Rider) My point is even if an actor is good or bad in these movies, it doesn't matter because if the story is bad the movie will suck even if the actor is good in it. The fist thing is to have a good story and then have a good actor for the part. If the story is bad then the whole movie fails no matter what actor you have.

Brendan Frasier would've been an alright Eddie Brock because of his looks and body size, and he could pull off playing a chump, at first. But he's done too many comedy roles as of recent for fans to have really bought that, I think.

I agree with Clooney and Berry not being very good. Affleck was good as Daredevil though. And Hugh Jackman is one of the biggest stars today because of X-Men.

Your right. And I agree with you about Halle Berry. I think Jessica Alba was horribly miscast as The Invisible Woman. Sue Storm is a really thin, natural blonde woman. Alba isn't a good blonde, and she's curvy. Someone like Gwenyeth Paltrow would've been perfect for that role. Although it goes against the formula, I think the more the celebrity is known for being good-looking, the worse they make as superheroes.

They kept saying "no one thought of Norton or Downey as action/super heroes." Norton played Bruce freakin Banner! He's supposed to be unassuming and a bit geeky, not all beefy or intense(though everyone should know Norton can be crazy intense). And ofcourse Downey was perfectly cast as an alcoholic rich playboy. No question there.
I agree with what was said about the DC movies. Keaton?..good. Clooney?..Bad. Bale?..not mentioned? Exactly...forgettable.

i wanted to see Brendan Fraser play him. he has the chops for dark drama to pull off DareDevil, i think. and if you think when i say this "What the guy from the Mummy?" you haven't seen him in Gods & Monsters a drama with X-Men alumni ian Mckellen. anyway, i also agree that Affleck played matt just fine, but the movie was hurt by a bad theatrical edit and poor press, way too much Look, it's BEN AFFLECK!!!

Definitely, I actually saw Ben Affleck for the first time in Armageddon, and Daredevil was a step up. It was a great movie, I thought, and until I saw the Kevin Smith movies, I never understood why Ben was so hated.

Spiderman has been on the Avengers at one point. Not saying I think he'll be in the Avengers movie (Not a chance in hell), but just wanted to point that out. As for the FF and Spidey, they're owned by two different studios, so I doubt Spiderman will be in their movie or vice-versa.

This was great. What's also cool is to see how long actors can hold on to that role. Sometimes, a comic movie breaks when the actors of the roles get replaced. Batman is a great example. But sometimes it works like Batman Begins & Hulk.

Movies like Spider-Man and The first Batman movie. I bet you wouldn't be saying those actors were really poor choices if Catwoman or Daredevil were good movies. What you just said proved my point! Cage and Gardner were good in those movies but those movies still didn't do good. (I like Ghost Rider) My point is even if an actor is good or bad in these movies, it doesn't matter because if the story is bad the movie will suck even if the actor is good in it. The fist thing is to have a good story and then have a good actor for the part. If the story is bad then the whole movie fails no matter what actor you have.
