  • This is so great.

  • Rock You Rollo

Yeah...I see the meme in it

  • I love this one!

  • BWILLIANT

  • lol, you need to work with a sound person. The resources are out there and I know people (myself included) who would love to work with you for voiceovers, music, sfx, etc. The animation really loses its charm when it's annoying to listen to. I've been meaning to get back into flash, if you'd like to co-op on something send me a message :) I've got the resources (and they're free!)

  • Thanks for the offer and I'll file yer email (I get emails of comments.) I knnow the voices are awful but they get me started working. I'm not even particularly comfortable with Flash though I've been using it a long time, but it sure beats painting cels.

  • I can't believe how good these are! You're like the Chagall of Flash animation. I like the text boxes - for some reason it's funnier to read it and have the computer with it's weird accent say it again.

  • thanks. I need to get moving on another one.

  • Is the voice artificial?

  • Yes, you guessed it. I use the IBM text to voice software. If I had to hire actors and set up a recording I'd never do the animation. It's odd though that in the last five years I've been following text to speech there haven't been many breakthroughs in voice quality.

  • These cartoon shorts you make are AWESOME, they remind me of just about every dream i have

  • Hi Everybody. Thanks for your nice comments. I'm going to be making another short as a pilot that spins off of this one, and I wondered, do you like seeing the words on the screen or is it fine without them? This short would be intended for cel phone distribution, if I can interest someone.

  • it is certainly helpful to have the subtitles...and i sort of like the 'Instant Messenger' aesthetic, but if you want your audience to work for it, then maybe leave them out? (although some of the word jokes might go unnoticed...) there is a fine line between holding us in contempt and not sacrificing your vision...

  • Neat!

  • It's like Laurie Anderson as a cartoon!

  • What's happening?

  • I'm quite fond of this short, particularly the bits I simply don't understand (Anita's odd smiling gleeful take after Whinsey says "you're not his type" — as if to say "HA! HA!", but without saying it).

I wonder if Sally or someone else could share what the piano music is? (Although I might be just as happy with it remaining a mystery....)

  • It's titled Windy City by Arnold Wiley, but I can't find the site from which I downloaded it. Shame on me for not crediting it in the piece. Sally

  • The horny eyeball lamp is adorable, but I'm just always a big fan of eyeball creatures/eyeball robots.

But what on Earth did Anita do with her old Rollo!?! And after all he did for her devilish schemes. I hope a Rollo story is on the horizon.

  • i certainly giggled a lot at this. i really dig your sense of humor.

  • Thanks for all your comments. I think youtube is a signifigant place, but boy, you can sure waste some time here! When I first explored youtube, some of my films had been posted by other people and I over reacted, asked them to remove them, probably should have left them up. oh well.

  • Again, this rocks. When can we see Chapter 2?

  • Until someone uploads Quasi at the Quackadero this will have to do.

  • I just uploaded Quasi at the Quackadero today.

  • speakless. just speechless
